Anyone signing up for a club that puts 18 or more players on the sideline for gameday are fools.
Sometimes no matter how many questions you ask, clubs lie. Sometimes when you sign up it is one way and over the course of a season it becomes something else. DA allows for up to 96 full time players across 4 teams. That number needs to be lowered to prevent clubs from having bloated rosters.

None of this is a problem other than it relies on a bunch of lies and half truths in order for Clubs to continue to charge what they do. It also takes customers who seem willing to overpay for years just to satisfy egos.
soccer is a white middle class sport in America because that is where the money is. I cant think of another country in the world where that is the case

If they got that wrong, then shame on the players who sign up for teams and leagues and don't committed.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThe guidelines provide the structure. If the clubs are doing what they agreed to do when they joined the league, at least a minimum level of development should occur going back to the theory of more time spent generally results in some level of improvement. Obviously there are clubs/coaches that are better at making the time spent practicing more meaningful and that is hard to control. In order for the USSF's guidelines to be successful, the players also have to buy into the system therefore its not totally on the clubs but there are not enough players with the level of commitment required to make this experience what the USSF intended for it to be.

As for the rest...yes...that is why we targeted our club. Don't necessarily care if it's GDA or ECNL, but what my daughter has asked several times is "why can't we just have a team who wants to play all the time".
Those are the players they want.
