Some feel betrayed, and will not return, but I dont think WCFC cares, as they hope the girls who were previous members just return to the fold. Besides, field space is tight, and the 4 extra GDA teams made it worse.
Let me explain this in words that everyone can understand.

World Class FC is the host club. Kaz wanted to offer girls, what he thought to be a better training model than the ECNL offered. Kaz is very old school, and thought that US Soccer would try to keep the league selective so only the best of the best would be playing in that league, so he approached NYCFC to take over the membership that was offered to World Class, as World Class FC felt that ECNL offered programming more suitable to their client base. As soon as US Soccer let in clubs that had no credibility in girls soccer, Kaz started to question his decision. When PDA pulled out, the writing was on the wall. When Fury got a second GDA club, he could not justify the league to World Class, who was growing frustrated with losing players they helped shape. As soon as the MLS clubs decided they were pulling out, which will happen in the 20-21 season, the support on the girls side ceased. No more game tickets, no more social media...nothing. NYCFC wants nothing to do with US Soccer. It is very clear.

Agree. Talent is talent. A club provides a venue for a talented player to showcase. I'm not dismissing a good coach/club's input as far as helping to make better, but you can't make a something better that isn't there already.

Same came be said of GDA parents, even though 18 months ago their kid couldn't crack an ECNL roster

Props to NYCFC for trying. Few pro clubs did. But as you said the league has almost no credibility any longer, and being a member doesn't bring the club much of any benefit. They probably break even financially, but it still consumes resources. BDA and the first team is their focus

That’s true, as you had to be Sicilian, and your family can be traced back to the Moors, those are the rules, google mafia membership.

Now that there is only 1 or 2 decent clubs left in the NE, it's-oh but look at the Michigan Jaguars!!!
For all the ECNL cheerleaders who hav come on the GDA thread, we should just create an ECNL thread. Then that thread can be used to bash ECNL.
                It’s that simple.

Will be interesting to see what Red Bulls do in this space. They have the RDS teams that are going to be aging up to ECNL/DA age very soon and I would be surprised to see them leave them in EDP. That would pretty much defeat the whole point of going to them in the first place.

If they stay in edp they are fortunate. Good team and coaching, good influence with college coaches, localized play. ...we should all be so lucky. Maybe those will be the first crew to escape the clutches of "national" youth soccer league stupidity .

slightly incorrect. the ECNL was NEVER going to allow WCFC to do both. They had to find a dance partner to do both. I think Kaz motivation had nothing to do with the other Clubs and everything to do with the GDA having a better practice to game ratio and no HS. The fact that he still intends to offer that tells you he believes in that.

Kaz is an old school soccer guy. his drive is the game, nit the other stuff you mention

As a parent of a girl in the age group at one of the "big badge" clubs in the area, I am actually somewhat intrigued at the idea of bringing my kid to RB. I dread the idea of all the stupid ecnl/da travel.

I hear you but you better first determine the fate of these rb teams.

Exactly the dilemma. I had assumed they formed RDS girls teams with the intention of bringing them to DA eventually. Now that NYCFC killed their girls program, RB has less incentive to support theirs and it is questionable as to where they'll even play.

Rb might compete in the mid Atlantic gda. Maybe that is more to their liking.
