    - not LM lol :)
If you think Sue can produce a national team player than empirically she would have already done so at the Stony Brook club. Who are they?

Its a very easy question to answer.

I only care if a coach can develop MY player - and I have no illusions that she's a nt level player. Having developed that level of talent isn't a necessity to being a good coach or not. If it were there would be very fee coaches in this country

Surf will be obsolete with the impending FURY/SUSA announcement.

Except neither SUSA nor FURY are new things.

If PR and SUSA merge Serf should pack it up on LI. Big box soccer will be too big to fail.

BTW, this will kill, kill, kill Larry Miller if true. He hates PR with a passion. Now he has to kids Sir Paul's arse as long as SUSA writes him checks.

You can't really argue how great it is to have a stable of college coaches without being able to point out any of their individual successes at the club level. If they are going to be successful at Surf then they should have already been successful at their former clubs.

PDA does pretty well with their NT team players and several of their coaches have been
at Rutgers for several years. Sue was at Stony Brook for many years. Decades, in fact. Not one single club players of her that she coached made a NT?

Or is your position that club coaches should produce players predominantly for the college level?

I would say no. I know a USMNT player personally and several pro players and I would say while their coaches were an important part of what made them who they are, much more of the result is the person themselves. You can only have so much impact as to how physically strong and athletic a player is (genes beat coaching) and how mentally tough they are (often overlooked).

Surf had a decent showing at NEWSS but still playing lower flights which seems a better choice from prior events with their other teams.

Kurt and his players on 01 and 02 still seem to be the backbone of the program. Going to be interesting to see what comes of the new teams say a year from now.

Paul Riley. Larry doesn't like him for multiple reasons. Last of which USSF sought Riley out to start a Girls DAP program and not Surf. Larry had been touting Surf to get the badge
