For PR the initial money is just fall and spring training. Doesn't include ref fees for NYCSL, winter league ref fees, extra for futsal league, futsal ref fees, futsal per diem trainer fee, tournaments, trainer per diem for tournaments or trainer food and travel. For winter, Paul raised the bubble fee so it's a per team rate and depends on how many players are on your team. For our team it was $3600 plus trainer fee. Came out to about $550 per player. So when you factor in the cost of just Delco and discovery it gets pricey. -

I took another poster's statement that "cheap" meant relative to other clubs. None of it is cheap - even a much lower priced club still costs you. And yes add in travel etc club soccer is never cheap. It gets tough to compare apples to apples because some clubs train 2/week others 3/week. Most club pricing is winter/spring training + 2-3 tourneys. Some will add winter training onto that, others include it. How can he? With the exception of two formally top teams that moved there every team they have fielded has been a disaster typically coming in dead last in tournaments to rec teams sometimes having a double digit negative goal differential!Comment

Plus they made the mistake of antagonizing the local town clubs and the WYSL itself. LM does it all the time, sort of like the Donald, but the club president should have known better than to try an cannibalize the town travel teams and monopolize the few good fields.
My prediction? NY Surf will just be LI Surf in a year's time ... the LI parents seem to accept anything you throw at them.
After NY Surf was rejected as a club by the WYSL they moved to the fledgling WYSL PREMIER league where, I think, they have one team registered under, and get this, the name MANHATTAN Surf. What a fiasco.Comment

LM: I only do good stuff :) It isnt a tease...you asked and I answered as best I could at this time....I can say it involves ECNL, GDA, Fields, and most importantly the NY Surf Cup next Spring or Summer.
