If you're out in CA, FL, TX travel won't be too bad but some other parts of the country won't be fun. Especially in this last round some of the clubs are not very impressive and only a few ECNL clubs. Not a complete face plant by USSF but it's not exactly the game changer they were probably hoping for
There is one pissed off NY parent going off about Cedar Stars and Tab Ramos.
Not sure if my BNOT post will make it but CS has some great plans for the Monmouth facility:
"A world - class sports facility, proposed for Tinton Falls, N.J., received a unanimous approval from the Tinton Falls Planning Board to develop: five (5) full - sided, synthetic
- turf soccer fields, with FIFA rated outdoor sports lighting, and a 140,000 square foot, state - of - the - art indoor facility with a full - sided soccer field, four (4) basketball courts, capable of hosting futsal games and tournaments, and complete locker and fitness facilities.
Construction of Phase I, consisting of two (2) full sided synthetic - turf soccer fields, is scheduled to begin in the coming months, with completion planned for fall 2016.
CS is also supposed to be rehabibing and building on a local SI college campus and in SI but since that involves the city and the state I will not be surprised that it won't happen for another year or two.
St Louis is on the border of Illinois. How far away are those three Illinois clubs from there?
Two are in the Chicago area. I forget the 3rd one named. The 2 in Chicago are about 4.5 - 5 hours away. Really too far for STL gals to attend.
Having said that Eclipse FC had 2 players whose families moved to FL. The 2 girls still played for Eclipse though. Flew up every 3 weeks to practice with team and would meet team at tournaments. So anything can happen out there. This was back when they first became ECNL.
Another omission is Memphis/Germantown. The South really got the shaft - no AL, MS, TN, KY, MO, LA. Granted most of those are not soccer hot beds but I'm surprised at Memphis/Germantown.
