Why would we not someone as open as that here? Maybe you are club profiteers posing as parents? If parents why the hell wouldn't you want free tuition? They are announcing NJ and CT within the year with VA, FL, and NC in the short term. Their bold vision is to be in every state and will offer free elite soccer everywhere. Catch the wave.
Amazing! And you read all this on their website?

What kind of scholarships are being offered by NY Surf?

I haven't experienced scholarships except at the town club level. Basically a team has costs that are normally split evenly by all the parents. If a kids is skill-wise worthy of being on the team and if his parents sign paperwork that they don't have enough money then the kid gets to 'not contribute' any dues.

the scholarship is provided indirectly by all the other parents paying a bigger chunk of the team dues.

If surf is offering scholarships it's either because their pres is throwing in his own money or because the $3k+ that some parents are paying is enough to cover team costs.

The $3k tuition is put into the big club pot which is then used to pay coaches, travel to Man City boondoggles for coaches, luxury boxes at Met Life, etc.

What league will the girls Surf play? EDP? Which division? Will a special league of NYC metro teams be created?

1st and 2nd Division have the current LI teams .... lots of driving to NJ

Why is a college coach coaching a U10 team? Does she have any coaching licenses? Her NY Surf and Adelphi bios have none listed:

IF she coaches any teams it will only start in the winter/spring; she'll be too busy in the fall for any coaching (one of my kids had a D3 college coach once; didn't see him until January). Chances are those U10 girls will never ever see her. College coaches should be coaching the HS aged teams - closer aligned with skill sets, prep them for college play etc.

How old is her daughter? I would bet that's the reason

It says she has a National Youth License (doesn't say which one) and a NSCAA A License. I thought NSCAA doesn't have alphabet licenses but named ones.

                      ???

My post asking about DeRosa's license credentials did not make BOTN. Surprise surprise.

                        What happened to Surf's "transparency?"

Town scholarship model? Not a good comparison - two very different entities...sounds like that endowment is in play and being leveraged. Its good for those who receive so whats wrong here??? Why do you seem to have a problem with people receiving a scholarship?
