Every club has politics: DA, ECNL, rec, travel, premier, select. All have it in one shape or form.
For me, it's now whose BS I can tolerate the most.

Of course, try to pose that question on BOTN and it likely won't ever show up

A couple of years ago there was talk of extending the college soccer season to both fall and spring. I think the men's side were the ones who wanted this. I wonder if this change will be revisited with the advent of the GDA. Switching to full year might change who coaches the GDAs.

Very, very surprised to see the NY Surf LI teams in NYPL Div 1. With all of the hype I expected to see them in NPL.

They don't have enough teams for NPL because you need to have a team in every age group and which has kept them out of the Metropolitan league pre-NPL league.
Surf is really a girls club.

I'm surprised Surf doesn't have teams in all age brackets given its in Westchester and LI. I thought they were "Surf," regardless of geography.
I was thinking about girls. About Larry's comments about Surf being NPL. Many top
teams who are not ECNL are NPL. Surf on the girls side couldn't get into ECNL this year so I just assumed NPL.
Elevating that boys team made me laugh. Should any of us really be surprised at the straw grasping?
Surf must have over anticipated the number of players/teams/clubs that would want to hop over to Surf. Or they over-hyped and aren't delivering .... at least this year.
My gratefulness for not going over increased daily.
