NYE teams playing too many tournaments?

An interesting discussion in another forum shows the number of games played by our top U16 girls teams according to the rating web site GirlsSoccerRate.com. It's worth a look at those in Region 1 because NYE teams are playing a lot more games then most other Region 1 states, yet it doesn't seem to be paying off in these rankings. Here are a list which includes that web site's national ranking and the number of games played up to Feb. 28. Are NY players being burned out? Could that explain why they aren't doing as well as Mass or NJ teams?

    4. FC Stars of Mass United 8 games
    14. PDA Tsunami 8 games
    15. Montclair United [PASCO] Thunderbolts 8 games
    25. BRYC Azul 19 games
    27. Scorpions Elite 7 games
    38. Spirit United Gaels 92 14 games
    40. Bethesda Dragons 14 games
    45. FC Stars of Mass Rovers 8 games
    50. Syosset Elite/Rough Riders 28 games
    58. Albertson Gold Premier Fury 18 games
    74. FC Sting Killer Bees 14 games
    77. Beach FC Piranhas 19 games
    78. CFC Wolves 0 games
    80. FC Frederick 15 games
    81. Hershey Kick Kats 12 games
    89. HBC Intense 20 games
    98. CFC United 7 games
    100.Quickstrike Chargers 11 games

Virginia maybe the only Region 1 state that plays their girls high school season in the spring, so that would probably be the reason you see a high number of games at this point.

I was looking at Mathman today. Syosset (36) does play at lot of games compared to teams like Stars (12) and Scorpions (10). Do you think this could have anything to do with the fact that they have yet to win a game in Region 1?

I predicted the merger wouldn't pay off and I predicted it because they are clueless in Syosset. This is just one example that they are clueless.

Clueless in Syosset. Is that the sequel to Clueless in Seattle?

Mathman updates show Syossett has played twice as many games as the top Mass. teams and dropped nearly 100 points. Albertson comes in second and they've dropped points too. Very interesting. The old days of GotSoccer rankings would have shown them at the top of the standings because of their points accumulation from so many games.

GotSoccer does have them at the top of the Region 1 rankings, #1 and #2.
