An interesting discussion in another forum shows the number of games played by our top U16 girls teams according to the rating web site GirlsSoccerRate.com. It's worth a look at those in Region 1 because NYE teams are playing a lot more games then most other Region 1 states, yet it doesn't seem to be paying off in these rankings. Here are a list which includes that web site's national ranking and the number of games played up to Feb. 28. Are NY players being burned out? Could that explain why they aren't doing as well as Mass or NJ teams?
