Just saw on their FB page they added DUSC to league play? Is GA just letting anyone in now? It’s an PITA to get to their fields and it’s surrounded by trash. It’s gross. Someone explain the reason they would add a team that has zero chance of winning any games in this league with no proven track record?

DUSC is where NWSL Gotham plays their 2nd teams.
GA added DUSC likely because they want everything in place when NWSL Next is rolled out.

DUSC is now in NAL and are pretty average. In that league is NJ Premier winning almost everything. Would have been a great choice.

Not super familiar with NWSL or its member, but it seems ECNL would be better suited since they have more members with NWSL teams(NC Courage, Portland Thorns, Racing Louisville and Utah Royals) vs GA(Gotham, and Seattle Reign); and ECNL more broadly being a stronger league.
This means running NWSL Next through US Soccer (not ECNL).
NWSL will want to own/control NWSL Next not be a partner with ECNL.

NJ Premier 2011-DUSC 5-2
NJ Premier 2010-DUSC 2-0
NJ Premier 2009-DUSC 5-0
NJ Premier 2008-DUSC 2-0
NJ Premier 2007-DUSC 1-0
NJ Premier 2006 DUSC 4-2
Good luck in GA!!

ECNL was always known for clubs protecting their business. GA is doing now the same thing. Leaving competitive clubs like New England Surf and NJ Premier out while letting in clubs that are not a threat.
