Next NJ Club to get ECNL

I'm a PDA parent and these are just my humble observations:

PDA Blue typically leaves most ECNL clubs in the dust in this division, but tends to struggle at a national stage against its own expectations.

PDA teams are big, AND have a decent churn among players. Lots of new kids coming in at U14-U16. The kids who make the team at U16 and start are probably at 70% going to play soccer in college. At U14 that probability number "of D1 recruits" is probably much smaller especially if you are not a starter.

A lot of the kids that come in at U14-U16 are from the clubs that most people make fun of on this forum which is most counter intuitive if these clubs suck so hard.

Sorry but I would bump FA Academy up a bit more, and perhaps swap PDA Shore with FC Coppa. The rest seems pretty accurate. Let’s hope the ECNL opens its doors to another club not named PDA.

The first thing that ECNL takes into account when deciding to add a new club is proximity to existing clubs. FA Academy is probably 30 mins from PDA. You can make your own conclusions.

Yes. But nothing wrong with that. For now (because nothing lasts very long in youth soccer), ECNL is the top league in girls' soccer. The real battle over the next couple of years is for second place. ECRL, GA, and EDP are all fighting for that. The GA has added a bunch of clubs for next season. These are all second-tier clubs and this will give the league financial stability to make sure they last a few more years. ECRL is pushing very hard to use the ECNL carrot to bring in new clubs (as ECRL only) but there's a lot of skepticism about whether a club can really get in via that route. EDP (National League) hasn't done anything meaningful yet but it's a very decentralized league and therefore difficult to have a world-dominating strategy of any kind.

Football Academy should definitely be higher than Cedar Stars. SJEB should be higher as well. Real should be next for ECNL.

Correct they played some friendlies and FA was much better than CSA surprisingly. They would be a good realistic fit for GA and the league should welcome them as they are on par with the NJ GA clubs. And Real should be in ECNL but sadly they do not have enough teams to field at all age groups.

Well, under the reference of area being the North Atlantic and New England divisions for ECNL and North and Mid Atlantic for GA that would include FC Stars and WC.

Not true, other divisions have half a dozen or more clubs within an hour or so.

The GA accepted Empire back from their GDA banishment. That is all anyone needs to know about the "quality" of the clubs being brought in. A club that averaged a -80 goal differential across all teams.

Aside from the 06 team being competitive with most of the ECNL teams what other team do they have that would be? They are a one hit wonder club as in one team is really good while the rest are average.

Agree the CSA 06 team can hang with anyone but the rest eh not so much. Why would ECNL even consider them?

that is that one year when some of the best teams still were in the GA and PDA, Stars as well as Eclipse bolted. It was the easiest year for us to get the trophies. "Wolves" have their own turnover problems anyways, I wish you wouldnt mention them in such a difficult time

Lolol I believe the poster was referring to Real NJ. Which ironically beat the CSA team by quite a wide margin.
