Good thing you’re not with that Academy anymore wouldn’t want you to be embarrassed. My D is looking forward to summer select! I’m not embarrassed for my kid to play whatever and wherever as long as she is happy and receiving good training. Because it’s not about me it’s about HER. But keep checking those rankings and spouting your BS because you somehow believe you have it all figured out.

Not fake news. Agree all the information is out there on the EDP websites. I didn't mention anything about summer select? We were discussing about number and quality of tournaments during the Fall and Spring season for which the club teams play in. Which, as I previously stated, from my experience at CSA, have been all Top Flights in the high level EDP tournaments...

Summer Select is a separate summer program that might not even have ANY cedar stars academy players involved. It is a money grab summer program that lots of clubs do. Anyone can join and play. Do your research before you spread incorrect information and look very silly.

to add onto this.... the original question asked was:

"Just looking to get an idea of how many tournaments the different clubs participate in during a contract year."

Summer programs do not fall under the contract year. so take the negativity elsewhere

Every single time someone says something about CSA, one of their coaches comes on here with the We are the Shore comments.

No one is concerned about rankings and if you could comprehend nobody mentioned rankings. Parents who don’t mind doing 5 minutes of research can use the site to review tournaments entered into during the past and teams played at each event . You can’t claim to play high level tournaments and highest level flights when the facts stated on the site say otherwise.

So you checked every team on the girls and boys side to see which tournaments they entered and which flights? Or is this really only about the girls?

How is the boys programs at Match Fit Shore? not everyone is a 2009 Girl. Looks like the only boys team involved with Match fit Shore is sitting in 6th place out of 6 teams in the Central Jersey flight. 1 win in 7 games and only 11 goals scored so far? Entering low level tournaments or low flights in EDP tournaments. I guess that is why they are falling apart after 1 year. Sounds like a real winning program I can get behind. HAHA

I am from the boys side at CSA, and I am the one that stated that in my experience we have been in top flights of EDP tournaments over the past 4 years playing in average 2 tournaments during the fall and 2 tournaments during the spring. All of that information is factual and you can look it up. The original question that was asked was about number of tournaments played during a contract year and I provided an answer to that question. Go ahead and verify that.

Some clubs don't end the season early and charge additional tuition for summer programming.

A standard contract season in NJ is August through early June. That is the standard across almost every single club.

Ending mid-June is early? I’ve been with 4 clubs various kids at different ages and all usually end around second week of June. is that not the norm?

That's because they have their boys director coaching a 3rd 2011 team instead of trying to build the boys program. Just to keep the 3rd team around so they still have 2 2011G teams in the Fall. Otherwise, it would have been a ghost town.

OP here, thanks to those with helpful info. Sounds like 6 total for the year is a good number.

This shore team doesn't interest me, but this post hit on another question. What are considered "high level tournaments" for the age group I noted (U10)? Is there even such a thing at this young of an age? I suppose a better question would be, what are the *most competitive* tournaments (especially those that are in the tri-state area) for YOUNG kids?
