PDA uses 7v7 goals on their 9v9 fields for a similar effect on games.

Agreed. ECNL should only play in perfect ECNL conditions. Why risk losing games to low level rec teams who are real soccer players and can play in any field.

Paradoxically, these games actually help PDA to scout and recruit.

LAMO this spring PDA lost on their own field at their own college showcase. But could be because the wind was to the left, there was a drizzle, the PDA hired Refs made bad calls, it was just PK’s and that doesn’t count. Or my favorite the score would have been 4-0 but... OR they almost won -ahahah

Keep scouting out of state. Most NJ youth players and families now know the truth about PDA. Distant states are easier to scam at this point. Eventually that will slowly stop as well.

I completely agree, and I've heard that there's going to be a Big Announcement that MF Short 09 is moving to GA in the spring, as Match Fit is a leader in organic player development.

I'm not following your post. Didn't the MF 09s leave GA to play ECNL?

It mens that the coaches don’t do anything. The players develop organically, like on their own.

This is 100% true. Match Fit Short, our all-midget team will be playing in the GA. The level of competition seems good for them.

100% organic, as in 100% bull****. Nothing artificial here.

Why can't people just agree? GA and ECNL are both good platforms. Each gets looks from top schools as well as most others, each has strong and weak clubs, each has great and trash coaches. Sure, ECNL is at the top but that is realistically not indicative of the ECNL divisions here. Really it comes down to what your kid wants, travel and cost. Assuming your kid can make either and be a starter which would be best? For them to be on a bottom 3 ECNL team that garners 0-3 wins a year or on a GA team that competes at nationals?
