STA is a wonderful club. Always has been, always will be. Enjoy it and stay away from the animals at PDA and MatchFit.

Love the post and agree, great club.

How many people would be happy winning 1-0 when another team completely dominated possession and showed a much better understanding of the game-but missed numerous chances? Which team would you choose to be on. My bet is that most would choose the team that won.
100% of the time I'll take the L if it's a close game and the kids played great. Not even a question.

It makes sense. My only point was if team continues to lose it is destined for failure as families will leave. Unfortunate but true.

            Thank God we are changing.
This time last year everyone was posting about how great NM was, and the wonderful things he would do. Now, you are throwing him under the bus and loving the shiny new thing.

Very much in line with GA motto a league by the players for the players. That’s why Ylon will make a great GA coach, very chill and cool as a cucumber.

My D played on one of Ylon's teams. He respects kids' strengths and works on improving their strengths. He doesn't have a pre-conceived idea of what each kid's role is. He gets that soccer is a creative sport - there is not just one and only one way it can be played. He would be great with more motivated and athletically gifted kids.

One of the best coaches in NJ bar none. How he does not coach ECNL is beyond me.

Someone is selling this coach hard. I heard team needs players. All may apply.

Situation at STA is better than at PDA. PDA does not need players. They have 30 on each team already. They can do with extra benches though.

Players needed and yes great coach. Need to turn things around quickly. Ylon is the man for the job.

Team needs players because it lost its coach at beginning of crucial spring season (he was either promoted or kicked upstairs depending on which story you hear) and had various fill in coaches the whole spring. Ylon, who was asked to fill in on two 2006 teams this spring while also coaching his own teams, couldn’t be at every game, schedules were “variable,” all the teams sharing coaches were shortchanged.

This is downside of the octopus that is STA. Coaches leave mid season, get kicked upstairs mid season, and everyone else must double up. Even high level teams like GA don’t get a lot of loyalty from club, coaches, so why should kids be loyal? Always important to pick the right coach for your kid, but even that doesn’t always protect them at some clubs.

Blaming the club is just silly. This is a GA problem as the clubs and coaches are realizing it’s not what’s it was cracked up to be. Ylon should really be coaching ECNL as he is higher caliber. GA lucky to have him.

So then where are these kids going? Only 3 u15 ECNL teams in state and they’re all over rostered. Sure they are opportunistic but they’re not the ones taking everyone leaving this team.
