STA is a wonderful club. Always has been, always will be. Enjoy it and stay away from the animals at PDA and MatchFit.

How many people would be happy winning 1-0 when another team completely dominated possession and showed a much better understanding of the game-but missed numerous chances? Which team would you choose to be on. My bet is that most would choose the team that won.

It makes sense. My only point was if team continues to lose it is destined for failure as families will leave. Unfortunate but true.

100% of the time I'll take the L if it's a close game and the kids played great. Not even a question.

My D played on one of Ylon's teams. He respects kids' strengths and works on improving their strengths. He doesn't have a pre-conceived idea of what each kid's role is. He gets that soccer is a creative sport - there is not just one and only one way it can be played. He would be great with more motivated and athletically gifted kids.

Situation at STA is better than at PDA. PDA does not need players. They have 30 on each team already. They can do with extra benches though.

This is downside of the octopus that is STA. Coaches leave mid season, get kicked upstairs mid season, and everyone else must double up. Even high level teams like GA don’t get a lot of loyalty from club, coaches, so why should kids be loyal? Always important to pick the right coach for your kid, but even that doesn’t always protect them at some clubs.
