Just wait until the news drops at the end of the season about an MLS league for the girls.
NYCFC girls Academy team will start back up
Red Bulls girls Academy team will start up
Revolution doing the same
DC United the same
Philly Union the same
Montreal the same.
Mix in the top former clubs of the DA, and you're going to have a real challenge to both the GA and ECNL. That said, the GA (former DA clubs) is already going to headline that environment, playing both the GA and MLS Next Girls ....
ECNL fans love to hate DA/GA.... their right to so do.
But the future is not about the DA, the GA, or MLS, or ECNL. Its about some cool mix of several of them.
Think CHAMPIONS LEAGUE style events for the girls. I think the girls environment will be better than the boys inside of 3 years.

Personally, I wish it were true and that they would align their seasons between GA/MLS/ECNL if this was happening and then create huge events where they all play each other.

They will not be free to play girls academies because the economics will never work. These MLS franchises are not affiliated with professional women's game in any way, so why would they even consider doing this?

1st try out was done.... but it won't get REAL for another year. Inaugural seasons are usually challenging!

At least now the GA is allowing their girls to play HS, giving up the 10 month program.

How are they getting in but NJ is not an option????
Was this board around when the DA was around and most were probably sweating it? As someone else posted easy on the downfall of GA. It’s only been one full year post pandemic. Lots of great talent playing on GA teams and many of these kids don’t just want to improve by wearing light blue Nike uniforms and sitting on the bench.
Just keep playing and competing and see where the chips fall.
