If a female coach is any good she'll take the better opportunities over GAL every day of the week. There is no blanket sexism out there. It's not a very stable or well paying career path.
So this analysis does not hold water.

Yes there should be more but that’s true of all clubs.

It's an organization led by women, for women, and will continue to try to push the league away from the old boys' network that exists with it's competition. Great for our girls to have that as an option.

Sounds like an excuse to me to dismiss what has always been in this nation. Old boys club and a glass ceiling.

USWNT - 3 female coaches since 1985
NWSL - 10 teams - 1 female coach
There have been a lot of great US born women players to come through the system since women's soccer exploded when Brandi Chastain scored on that famous penalty kick in 1999. Why hasn't this translated into more women coaches as their careers have ended? Does the grind of coaching interfere with motherhood or raising families? Are the salaries too low because the women's game doesn't bring in a lot of revenue so the coaches don't get paid a lot? I do think the idea of pointing out that CSA or any other youth club doesn't have a lot or any female coaches is trivial compared to the larger picture of why isn't there a lot women coaches in our national and professional ranks?
