Just the fact that STA, CSA or SJEB are not included in ECNL and in the meantime there is MF, south, white should tell you that ECNL is not rational soccer development org, but just a monopolistic business practice that rewards cronies. There is no evaluation, there is a grease the wheel award.

Bad enough that the penalties are up to 5 years in prison, $250k in fines, and deportation. ECNL is probably going to let that ply out first.

Do you mean the Morris County facilities that they rent at a discounted price because they pretend to be a part of Morris United?

Please, the GA accepts sub par clubs like Ukranian, Delaware, LISC, Baltimore Armour, Metro United etc. no standards whatsoever. Business is business. It’s about collecting paychecks from suckers that have no clue. I feel bad for SJEB and STA, they deserve better, but the GA really shoots itself in the foot by adding garbage clubs to its repertoire.

You’re completely missing the point SJEB and STA deserve better and are stuck in a tough spot.

This is what you don’t understand about standards because the brain you have is too small.

                          Standards examples are:
                          - will train 3x a week
                          - will have a mental/game review session
                          - will promote younger players to older teams
                          - will play 1 game under max conditions
                          - attend showcases against “like for like” skilled teams
                          - will have coaches attain a level of training

You leave when you can’t meet those standards.

Those are development and sometimes aspirational standards. Some ECNL teams (not in this area) follow these. Most of the ECNL clubs in this area basically recruit kids rather than have their own development standards. Smart kids who join the area have their own standards what maintain parity, frequently with outside training.

So what are you actually saying? GAL has a superior product? So why are the best clubs bailing?

Can’t comment on Shore but Mercer facility is small enough (one turf field). I don’t think it is possible to have Shore practice there. Mercer is strong on the boys side but not so much for the girls.

Neither Mercer or Shore has ECNL teams for girls. Only Morris location does.

Exactly why we stay at a GA club rather than going to the closest ECNL club (MFA). Would be a big step back. There are a lot of us here who feel the same. PDA could actually give themselves some good competition to the north. But the cash is more important than raising one's standards I suppose. Says all you need to know.
