All the kids in Europe and South Am play a lot more just for fun. Here in the US, instead of giving kids a place to play for the fun of it, parents spend money to send them to these "highly credentialed" trainers. These managers/coaches wouldn't make this kind of money back home.

We attract some of the best coaching talent in the world, coaches that coached at Manchester City, Chelsea, Ajax, Benfica, Braga etc come to the USA and are coaching youth soccer.

Most coaches from overseas and from here are really bad. Screaming idiots on the sidelines. Never taught the right way to coach.

GAL develops all the talent and ECNL swoops in and steals in away.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostVery true and very sad actually. Developing talent is not a core competency for coaching, but recruiting talent developed elsewhere definitely is. Just the name of the game today, why develop what you have in ECNL when you can just steal all the top players from GaL.
