You are wrong. The safety of my kids is primary in my mind which is why they should be playing this weekend. You are worried about non-existent cold temperatures and I am worried about the kids getting to play, not just because of their need to physically compete, but because they are in desperate need mentally to get out and play the game. These lockdowns have been an absolute disaster for adolescent mental health and the rates of depression, child suicide, dropout, school failure are rising dramatically while sports participation plummets because of the poor decisions being made by the 'adults'

You continue to minimize the cancellation of a tournament as being insignificant, but it is another opportunity lost for these kids to get back to doing something they love.

Why don't you take you kids do the many indoor tournaments throughout the state? I'm willing to bet your little soccer star is sitting home right now rather than at one of the many presidents day clinics being held today. You make it seem like this tournament was the only thing your kid could do. I got news for you, there isn't one single soccer field in the area that's cleared for kids to play. Even DTS was only able to plow a small portion of their 11v11 field to allow 7v7 play. On top of all this, my kid still does soccer related training 5 days a week, so don't cry about how you poor kid can't do what they love because a club didn't clear their fields. There are a million options for them to do something. Your just to lazy to be involved.

Don’t worry Coach G will do a Zoom training to make things better.. LOL who needs a tourney when you can train in the living room?

The kids need a rest, the club knows that and played it safe this weekend for the benefit of their customers (you!). Zoom in case you are clueless gets you ready for the real world so don’t minimize it’s importance. I’m willing to bet that for most girls Zoom skills for the real world will come in more handy than soccer so take a chill pill. Kudos to CSA for their vision.

So why are you doing this on an anonymous forum? Just send an email or call and speak your mind. For the life of me I still can’t understand how anyone expects CSA to be responsible for clearing those fields? They lease them from Capelli. They can’t just take it upon themselves to clear fields if Capelli has certain conditions regarding that. Maybe a warranty on turf that would be void if they plowed them and compromised the integrity. Who knows, but it’s strange the outrage at CSA and I have to wonder who is really fueling that fire.

Not sure what other trainers/clubs are doing just sharing own perspective that Zoom is the way to go in a pandemic and in the middle of Winter. Playing in a needless tourney this weekend wouldn’t have done anyone any good.

I’m not defensive but when there are at least 5 different threads about CSA and their fields not being plowed I start to wonder. Its pretty obvious to most people that it isn’t their responsibility but there are new threads and comments about it every day. Definitely confusing or maybe just ignorance??

I think everyone equates CSA with Capelli as one and the same. Same ownership, same location, same uniforms, same colors, same everything. Perhaps that’s why.

My point is if parents on a CSA team are complaining about them not being plowed, they know full well CSA leases from Capelli and wouldn’t expect CSA to do it. Which is why I am confused at the number of threads created about the plowing especially from people saying they are CSA parents. It doesn’t make sense to me.

Just my take I think 99% of CSA parents are thankful and appreciative the tourney was cancelled so it’s probably not them posting on here. They know the club did the right thing, especially when there is plenty of soccer to come.
