So let me get this straight the club made a smart decision to cancel the tourney and somehow they did something wrong? This was just another run of the mill tourney so cancelling is no biggie. The club knows this as they have lots of experienced managers that have been there done that. If the PA folks want to play in frigid conditions let them, at least NJ youth soccer has some sense. Lots of girls are playing other sports anyway so silly to have a tourney during HS Winter sports season.

ECNL canceled their national event in Texas due to poor weather forecast yet you are still crying about the showcase in the NE being canceled. Was it Cappelis fault ECNL canceled Texas too?

You obviously do not care about the kids safety at all. Penn Fusion does not compare in any way shape or form to GA Showcase. One is a must do event the other a nice local tourney for fun and getting some touches. Club made a solid call for the girls to cancel.

You are wrong. The safety of my kids is primary in my mind which is why they should be playing this weekend. You are worried about non-existent cold temperatures and I am worried about the kids getting to play, not just because of their need to physically compete, but because they are in desperate need mentally to get out and play the game. These lockdowns have been an absolute disaster for adolescent mental health and the rates of depression, child suicide, dropout, school failure are rising dramatically while sports participation plummets because of the poor decisions being made by the 'adults'

You continue to minimize the cancellation of a tournament as being insignificant, but it is another opportunity lost for these kids to get back to doing something they love.
