I don't understand why so many teams are traveling to Jeff Cup during a D1 Dead Period. Why not wait and attend showcases after April 15 when D1 coaches might actually be there?

The feedback my daughter received from colleges who watched ECNL via livestream was very favorable as if they were there. That’s coming from coaches. As a parent why do you think audio is important and what makes you think caches on the sidelines even pay attention to that? You just want to see coaches standing on a sideline when the truth is colleges have been doing just fine. If livestream. Glad they are positive about using the technology.

But for all players it helps me understand leadership and how players work with their teammates. Streaming is a welcome addition, but it does not give you all of what you need.

Just another parent who thinks they are an expert. I can tell what Coaches listen for are parents body language and what you shout out to your daughters or players on the pitch. Every coach my daughter heard from that have watched the live stream of her matches didn’t need audio to watch her movement or communication with her teammates. That’s implicit in watching them play. Do you actually believe that colleges pay that much attention to an entire game watching your kid and what she has to say to her teammates? Too funny. Stop taking yourself so serious and leave the soccer evaluation to the actual coaches.

The idea of a parent saying as if they are a college coach as to saying that coaches need audio to recruit makes me laugh. It’s funny and entertaining reading these parent comments. Coaches come to these showcases with a set agenda and layers they are watching within a limited time frame. They are not invested to any particular game just the player for a limited time till they go to there next match. The vast majority form an opinion of a player at their own clinic or camp and just follow up at these showcases for a few times of they know early on they have identified a specific player.
