Most people will take performance over "infrastructure" any day. IB performance shows they could use a good summer camp. Over and out.

Pretty sure if you look at the scores, you will find FA beat them at those age groups…this just got awkward…

Pretty sure fa have consistently top teams from 2010 down to 2015 on both boys and girls side. This guy is clearly some one that knows the NJ soccer landscape well . Don’t see any other club minus Cedar stats with that sort of consistency.

FA 2010 team beat the Ironbound Bulls 1-0 in October in the NJ State Cup. They also beat them 5-2 in June in the EDP League Cup. Don't let facts get in the way.

2009 Ironbound would beat 2009 FA though.

I guess I do not understand...no one has yet explained why mlsnext would not want FA to join. Don't they want the best competition? Looking at Acela standings it looks like FA is one of the best teams.

I think its due to the fact that they don't have a future pathway for players. Right now the 2011's don't have a league to play in (could be wrong). Also, facilities seem to weigh heavily as well, FA doesn't really have a home like other MLSN teams.

FA's performance is strong at 2011, that is very clear. However, if what someone said is ture...the parents run the team...MLSN would not want to deal with that at all.

I doubt MLSN would go that deep on parent politics if even true. The 2010 and 2011 teams are very good. Younger than that shouldn't really be part of it. I would think it has to do with 2009+ being less than average and potentially facilities, but none of these clubs really own anything. its just about acquiring field lease agreements which isn't impossible. I have heard someone on the MLSN board has a personal grudge as well. I would think that FA would explore other options like ECRL which seems to be taking anyone. It wouldn't be the best competition for the 2011s, but at this point I think they may just need to establish themselves in any of the alphabet leagues and hope they can keep maintaining these core teams as they get older. Winning State Cup at u13+ is still a nice achievement, but the competition is very thin at that age. They need to expand their success beyond Jersey and in the older age groups I think.

CSA Bergen North Results since the group have been playing up a year 11v11 in the NEAL U13 Devision. 3 convincing wins and one 0/0 draw which was their first ever 11 v11 game. No validation needed just sharing results.

ECRL would be a step down from EDP, so it would not be a step in the right direction for them to go to.. Similar to E64 and how teams stayed away. The USYS Mid Atlantic division will be below MLS Next and ECNL, but above the other multi letter leagues they come up with. They can play their league games and set up friendlies with every single MLS Next and ECNL team, all of those clubs will gladly play them. Just because you wont see their results doesn't mean they wont/cant play the exact same teams.

But why not just take the best teams to build the best league?

Because it's a brand and they need continuity...people would just build teams to push them in year over year. MLS next is a brand, not a tournament. They need to plan for the future, not just who put together the best team each year.

Ok. I can understand that, but why not be extremely exclusive then. For example, I saw they just put in Ironbound...I have nothing against them but they have a bunch of teams at different levels that are not so good. What future is there with them? This is a serious question
