I went yesterday and was surprised with the turnout, thought there would be more. Assuming other kids have gone to clinics before? But at try outs yesterday there was about 6 really good kids, that's it.

FA is going to be irrelevant after this year, hence the reason more than half the team was trying out at PDA yesterday. Which by the way only 2 stood out when playing with other kids

What a pathetic little troll! Just when this thread seem to be taking a more productive turn, these idiots surface again!
Here is something that will be a truth. In August we will see where these players end up and play when they show up to play. PDA will still be below the level their reputation carries and unable to compete with the top teams, FA will likely still be one of the strongest teams around, look at all their age groups, they don’t lose kids for some reason. I am sure they haven’t been promising their 2010 boys mls for 3 years and they keep falling for it and returning, it might be they keep their players and actually develop them into top players. Union will be joining another club then surface as union again, real will get stronger as they will pick up more Liverpool players. The Liverpool kids will jump ship again, STA will still be a step below, cedar stars will stay strong, TSF will still be 3 steps behind everyone and Red Bulls will cut a bunch of players and recruit the next bunch.
it’s been the same talk on here for nearly 300 pages and nothing changes despite all these amazing soccer people with expert opinions but in reality don’t know anything, they just turn out to be the loudest voice in the room. Typically in life that guy is the least informed too.
Here is a thought for the this thread try and exchange genuine information that will actually enlighten the 2011 age group. Vs being scared your team is falling apart and try and unsettle everyone else. It would be interesting to see how these experts could use their vast expert knowledge to share good information to help everyone. Maybe just a moms perspective, I don’t know!

FA will bring on average players at best to fill in the 11 v 11 roster. It’s will be B team kids from other programs who’s parents think they should be on an A team.
They will struggle to compete. That’s why they were spreading rumors about joining MLS.
Although I don’t think they will be irrelevant, I think the clock will strike midnight next year and it back to reality. Jeff Cup was just the beginning of the end.

People are jealous that FA is a non-MLS team that is very good and stuck together because of success. Kudos to both the boys and the coaches there. But where does it end, it's a huge risk going to FA right now not knowing where they will be playing this year or next year. Word is they have not joined a conference for next year, can anyone confirm where exactly they will play?

I think MLS next is the best league to play in if your child is getting playing time. If he's on the bench more than on the field I don't think he should stay there. But players will be playing against the highest level next year and that's where you want to be if you're good enough, it's plain and simple. If you're not it's fine too everyones path is different and doesn't mean you can't do anything that someone in MLS next will do.
On another note, my son may not be good enough for MLS Next because we have yet to get an offer. I keep reading that PDA gave offers and CSA Newark? Is this true? CSA Monmouth gave me an offer but the level of kids that tried out was worrying honestly so I don't consider that an MLS next club YET. They will get ran through next year and I hope they prove me wrong.
