redbulls has a system and it works. Grab as many great 8, 9 and 10 year old kids win at the pre academy age and keep the ones you want to build around.

Or is the "development" just kids from all around the tri state area who matured late? Lots of generalizations, but no one can give an answer about these wonderful "development" situations that are better than NYRB. Who are these mastermind coaches? What traits do they exhibit?

at least Red Bulls is free! And 2011 Red Bulls have gotten the better of Philly Union lately. They play against each other again next week.
Scores today were
Red Bulls 4 - Penn Fusion 0 in Acela.
Red Bulls 9 - FA Euro 2 and
Red Bulls 7 - Manhattan Kickers 0 in NEAL.
Red Bulls are almost never the biggest and strongest out there, but probably the most skilled. All the people saying most of the kids would get cut last year were wrong. Let's see how this year goes. All the new players are good too though

Dont know if anyone said most would get cut, but I know people said a lot of kids would get cut and they did. Red Bulls had 3 teams last year - around 30 kids between NY, North and South. This year they have 24 kids… of those 24, several are new (at least 4). So over 10 of the 30 from last year were cut. 1/3 - 1/2 cut. Is that correct?
Also, what is the purpose of Red Bulls playing in the NEAL league in the 2nd (White) Flight against different clubs “B” teams. Seems like a complete waste of time for a MLS club to play teams at that talent level with that much travel involved. For example playing such a weak team like FA Euro? What does that accomplish? FA Euro finished behind the BW Gottschee 2nd team in their EDP flight last year. Why are the Mighty Red Bull teams playing them.

Gussing it's so both of their teams aren't in the same flight, even though that's the case in Acela. Maybe it's not allowed in NEAL to have two teams in same flight? For the two RB teams, the composition of the teams is basically arbitrary since kids swap back and forth. Between also playing in Acela, the top NEAL and friendlies, think there's enough high level competition to go around. I admit the easier teams end up being more of a practice session, and there are days with two games in the same day, which can also mean lots of driving.
Right now it means consistent game time for all of the players. Wish every game could be challenging too. At least it seems like the RB team that gets the easy game alternates.
