The answer is they will continue to recruit kids and will pump out 14-15 kids per team. The only movement from NEAL to MLS Next will take place between Neal 1 and Neal 2 boys plus whatever new kids they recruit. The EDP teams will be separated from the talent pool and won't have a chance to move up.

The part about recruiting as many kids as possible I agree with - I think all these big clubs think that way.

But why would they prevent a kid from moving from a lower team to a better one if that kid deserves it? If a kid deserves it and the coaches block it, then the parents just take their money elsewhere where the kid will get a fair shot.

There are way too many clubs in the area for one club to treat kids that badly - even at the CSA level, other options are TSF, WCFC and probably a few others that are just below that would still give good players chances to play at high levels.

Unless a kid on the C team on any big club is truly dominating every game it will be very difficult for him move up. I am talking either scoring in large volumes consistently or being a complete defensive wall showing superiority.

That is not correct. They have 4 teams. 2 in the N.E.A.L. and another 2 in EDP.

there's also a 2011 newark team too that I think will share players with some Bergen teams if needed

the 2 neal teams and the edp team in the lower IV flight make sense - that's what the coaches said to the kids at tryouts a few months ago.

the edp team in the edp top flight I don't get - which players will play in those games?

Highly doubtful that any EDP kid will be moved up to play NEAL. The CSA A team recruits players non-stop now that they have 2 top teams they will have the room to recruit 16 kids per team.

when kids and parents feel they were lied to or misled, they'll just take their business and $$$ elsewhere (and trash the dishonest coaches)

big clubs doing shady things can't last forever because eventually too many families will catch on to the BS

very true... heard this from many parents (from PDA, CSA), yet most of the parents fall into the same trap......
Hopefully this post sends a warning signal to the parents who are in process of moving to these bigger clubs 2n/3rd team.... you know your kid more than anyone else, just don't fall for false promises.
