No, not true. It was a very well played game by both sides.

Classy!! Making fun of hard working boys. I am not from AS Junior Elite. But let me tell you, I respect their style of playing. Like it or not- watch these boys 1-2 years from now. If the parents are patient enough and they give these boys time. They will have a Beast of a team! They didn’t change the way they play and develop those boys for the 3 points. Like FA and Bloomfield have been playing. Yup! I know you won’t like this. But this the Truth. Time will tell

Maybe. or maybe they will be just as bad as they are now. They can pass a little. but they cannot dribble or shoot or score. those are also important in soccer.

Definitely an AS Junior Elite parent. No doubt.

Some argue it's b/c playing kick and run when you can't head the ball is less than fair, there is an argument to be had. But I agree, your team is that good, kick and run should be a non factor.

AS Junior team punted 9 of 12 times they had the ball in the first half of the game my son played. They punted 4 of 5 times in the 2nd half. I thought they did play good possession style soccer but they definitely punt the ball out of the back as much, if not more, than the other teams I have seen this year. Lets not pretend they are the only team who plays a possession style game. Most of the top teams all move the ball around well and punt when they need to as well.

Which teams constantly play Long Balls? Including Punting. FA and Bloomfield. CSA, STA, RB North, Union, PDA and As all play out of the back. The sad truth FA used to be the best team that builds out of the back. But they changed their style with the transition of 9 players on the field and now they are defending that style. I guess they do what they got to do for the 3 points. By the way there is nothing wrong with Punting or playing Long to release pressure of your defenders or if your attacker makes a good run. But you have to mix it up and it can’t be your primary way of playing.

Bloomfield Punt…big difference at FA plays long and also uses their GK for depth, then he plays long.

The team name is BP not BB. Bloomfield Punters not Bloomfield Barcelona.

asking for my son who will tryout for U10 team next year; at present he is playing for one of the mls next academies and seeing good improvement since he joined this fall.

Appreciate if you can provide pros and cons of joining RB pre-academy team
depends on what you want for your kid. If your goal is to get him on RB as soon as possible then sure, try out. That drive doesn't sound great and practices are late, but people come from further away. Also, sometimes the teams aren't as "fun" as you would get from other clubs since everything is professional. On the current u12 academy maybe half of the kids are from the pre-academy so it definitely increases your chances. But some kids don't thrive in the super competitive atmosphere. Others get better surrounded by probably the most talented group as a collective in the state. Or maybe your kid would get more attention being the best on another team. Why not just try out and see what happens? I think last year 3 players made it on the team that went to the tryout in the south.

Another problem with the RB and other MLS clubs is that parents have very little interaction with coaches, you are just there to drive back and forth and are ignored otherwise. Then again, that is part of growing up and us parents must learn to let go. But even bigger problem at RBs is that they are not teaching sportsmanship: players taunt opponents, hit them when ref is not looking, engage in excessive celebrations at the corner flag after scoring, etc. Just general *******ry that is clearly encouraged by coaches. Not a classy organization. I would stay away.

By using the goalie for depth you mean punting every ball because they can't come out of the back lollolol

Better that the parents can't talk to the coaches at RB so there is no ass kissing to get their kid more playing that. It should be like that with every club.

In my opinion it’s about the kids, not the parents. I’d rather be involved in an organization that lets the players action, skills, attitude and progression dictate when and how much a player plays. Zero politics... Not the parent chirping, emailing, calling texting the coach about how good and how much their child should play. Leave it in the hands of the players and the coaches to develop them.... At Red Bull’s respect and sportsmanship is a huge part of their program. They have the parents and the players sigh off on a code of conduct after watching a presentation on the subject. They also follow through on the code of conduct if anyone steps out of place. From what I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot there’s no more or no less taunting, hitting or intimidating from the RB’s then any other team at their level. I would agree the celebrations in the corners can be a lot at times. But these kids are passionate about the sport they play and it comes out after a goal. I can tell you that the actions you described above are not encouraged by the coaches and I think are slightly embellished as well.... The program is extremely professional and of the highest of class. Apologies to you if you’ve scene something different but these kids and coaches for the most part are first class....
