lol which teams did you beat again? Red Bull’s NY? Haha. I am sorry to disappoint you, but my kid did try out for RB yet- for one reason, we are smarter than taking him there this early. Time will prove it to ya. For now we are focused on growing and developing. We won’t get there now.

Haha I hope not neither! Reminding me of other parents. Parents that got hit with a reality check this season. Learn, settle down and be humble. Focus on developing the boys. Almost sounds like you are having your kid play for you to satisfy your ego. Remember! They should be playing for themselves.

Absolutely spot on! With Challenges build Character- I hope you are ready for the Challenge when it comes your way. Cut throat mentality at 10 year old. Constantly looking for better to replace your kid. Not the right move man. Will see how you will adjust with the changes coming your way. I would love to hear how your character will develop as a parent. Keep us posted bud.

RB South has beaten FA silver (with maybe 4 FA black players guest playing) 6-1. Also won against the town Union team, not sure about score but more than 4 goal difference. They also soundly won against Philadelphia Union and Manhattan kickers, two decent teams. Haven't yet played CSA Bergan 1st team or FA black full team because of being in different divisions.

RB south is not unbeatable. Also their league is not as competitive. But not sure what team in NJ is better overall at the moment. FA Black would have a tough time of it and not counting the other RB teams. Teams will probably change again in spring anyway.

CSA Bergans aggressive punt and run could be annoying to play against.

RB South didn’t play Union team. Clearly RB South are a strong team and from the looks of it, the strongest out of all 3 RB teams. Yes agreed teams will continue to change and evolve going into the Spring. Exciting times ahead for our boys.

Need some suggestions from this group... is it worth to join RB pre-academy (abt 1+ hr to training facility from my home) or stick with the current club (which is close to my home) ?
asking for my son who will tryout for U10 team next year; at present he is playing for one of the mls next academies and seeing good improvement since he joined this fall.

Appreciate if you can provide pros and cons of joining RB pre-academy team

Not worth at this age unless you're unhappy where your son is right now

I heard they don't give tryouts anymore and you need to be invited after U11?

I would focus on making the team first before planning commutes lol

Go to a bigger club if you are not happy. But hold off on the Red Bull’s. Super early.

Out of curiosity, why did you have your son tryout for the Red Bull’s? It sounds like you had no intention of accepting an offer especially at this age.
