1st Town teams do not have to promote the club to bring in revenue. I could be wrong but Union is a volunteer coaching and families pay $500-1000 max
FA $3k per kid and paid coaches with the need to Win so they can promote the club and take in more revenue. I bet Union and other clubs in the area think it’s funny you and your band of idiots pay all that money and are worried about la town team. I’ve watched both clubs play and honestly Union plays the game right for u11 and setting up each of the boys to play quality football into the next level. FA plays US kickball high press.. ugly style. They have some good players but will learn a style only to win in the u10-12 top flight EDP after that it’s over.
Injuries will add up and most kids will lose the passion for the game…why? crazy parents pushed them to hard, it’s a bunch rich privileged w no edge or grit to call their own.All by making them think they are good enough to play at a higher level then EDP. Relax FA parents your kids need you to chill and let the game become Beautiful unlike your behavior on and off the pitch
btw My boys have played at every level and I showed my oldest 25 yrs old this thread it’s laughable and shameful.
Don’t the Red Bull’s play high press? So does Liverpool and Man City…

I wonder what your credentials are to judge that Union “plays right” and FA plays wrong? Cost is irrelevant and judging by the number of kids at FA tryouts vs Union tryouts it’s not a deterrent. 3k is an average cost and coaches do deserve to get paid a little.

it sounds like you are trying to paint a subtle picture that Union is some group of underprivileged street kids with “edge and grit” and FA are rich over privileged brats. All to drive your point home that FA is not worth the money and Union is the best value in NJ soccer?

if you don’t have a horse in this race then you MUST have paid or pay 3K for your child at another club, Assuming your 25yr old played higher than travel in the last 10 years.

Lastly why would FA suffer more injuries than Union kids? You made a lot of assumptions and accusations but no real content…

Can we please stop constantly comparing the 2 teams..guys, this is a 2011 thread..There are hundreds of other teams at NJ, we get it- Union and FA are top teams. We can include them in our chats but let’s stop comparing them to each other.

The MLS Next league starts at u13 (first year of 11v11).

The North East Academy League is a new league that has teams at u12. CSA Bergen, CSA Monmouth and TSF Academy are all MLS Next - NJ teams in this league along with these other MLS Next clubs: Beachside CT, BW Gottschee, FC Westchester, Met Oval, and NYSC. There are also 3 non-MLS next clubs: FA Euro, NY Elite Alleycats, Smithtown Kickers/LI Slammers.

Ryan Tetro from Matchfit Shore is a drunken loser who encourages his players to intentionally hurt other players. Any parents that still think this guy is a great coach and role model for your kids need to have your head examined.
