this poor soul-The JFF has 0 to to with FA or CFC. Can’t make it any clearer for you sir.
YSR has them ranked the same way. Is YSR biased? There are 3 CSA teams ranked and 1 FA team ranked. Wouldn’t bias imply that JFF have the FA Gold team ranked and/or over the other CSA teams as well? thank you

Thank you for sharing this link. I only watched the first half as it’s hard to watch a youth game that your child isn’t part of. But I do not see or agree with any of the negative comments posted about the matchup between Liverpool and AS Junior.

The field actually looks like a lot of fun to play on. Nor does it look any smaller than several other fields my kid has played on. The fence is unusual to see in the states as it’s more common in other parts of the world. But from the near side camera angle it appears the space between the out of bounds line to the fence is more than enough space to prevent injury.

The competition level between the two teams in my opinion was not drastically sided one way or the other. AS junior did control the ball and did move the ball better but Liverpool’s style was able to contend and hold them to a close half. I am not mad to see after AS scored to see Liverpool try and shoot the ball from half court right away. They were trying to catch the kids off guard and get back their goal. What I found to be annoying is the coach complaining about everything to the ref to try and get calls in his favor.

Not seeing many AS games I’m impressed by there style of play and keeping possession especially when it “appeared” they were playing kids a year up in size. But knowing that this is a group of all 2011 boys just shows a promising future for them.

Anyone that thinks either of these teams based off this game is on two different levels in my opinion is just biased. They should be ranked one on top of the other and don’t care who’s on top. Let’s just start giving credit and ranking teams JFF based off of performance versus results.
Wins should matter to clubs and organizations but for parents the development and soccer skills should be valued first and foremost.

Let’s start posting and sharing games to help us validate these nonsense arguments!!

At 30 minutes in to the video you can hear a educated parent say “this is just like indoor soccer, you can score a lot of goals quick”!

Liverpool’s commentary is better than an episode of Seinfeld. Thanks for sharing

Outdoor soccer which this is... is not just about technical skills.. its about being an athlete, speed, agression, and stregnth..... Look at best league in world EPL.....

this ins't futsal which is a different sport. most of futsal players have far superior skills than outdoor players... but could never play in an 11 v 11 field where speed and power are needed. and vice versa an EPL defender couldn't play in a professional futsal legaue doesn't have the footskills...

so don't compare 2 different sports.

I also only watched the 1st half so far. I watched it with no volume so I cant comment on the coaches complaints. I had different observations of the field size though, I think the fence is way to close for comfort with kids running full speed towards the side line they have no more than 1 step before they hit a fence post. Luckily this game was not a very physical game like I have seen many of at this age. Those fence posts could cause some serious damage.

Thought the match was very even with a little bit better possession for AS Junior which should be expected on their home mini-field. If a penalty is awarded on this field, where is it taken from as the goal box only appears 7-8 yards deep and at this age it is supposed to be taken from 10 yards out. I thought the shot from the kickoff was going to be cringe-worthy from reading about it but don't see it as so bad after watching considering midfield was only about 25 yards and lots of teams at this age attempt shots on free-kicks from distance.

The word “educated” was used loosely. Skinny jeans or skinny field describes the field as such.
Liverpool’s parent was the one that compared this field to an Indoor one you baffoon. Probably the same parent that complained about the ball size and quality.

Stop making excuses for the fact that your kids struggled against a team that’s half 2012 year olds.

A.S. Junior FC displayed great soccer at times. Movement on and off the ball in such tight spaces was fun to watch. Liverpool FC played scared and hesitant probably feeding off the negative energy from there side.

When is the re-match scheduled for? Can we start a NJYS PPV channel?

Since when did JFF follow YSR? Why bother with JFF if all you are doing is following YSR? Isn't it called Just For Fun not Youth Soccer Rankings? At no point did I mention any other CSA team or FA team so why bring that up? I am pointing out both CSA Bergen and FA have played common opponents. CSA Bergen has performed better relative to FA against those common opponents. Please explain why that does not matter in the JFF rankings between those two teams?

Who mentioned Futsal??? And what does Futsal have to do with what’s being discussed???
Sure it’s important to have great foot skills with the ball but I did not see any Futsal style of playing from either side in this game everyone is so hyped about.
Just because it’s a smaller field doesn’t mean it’s Futsal!!

At this age ranking of kids is for the benefit of parents and for generating revenue for academies. It's a vicious cycle I think the focus should be on seeing the game as an art where each coach and kid contributes to it. And not follow a formula like the EPL used to do (see the mixer).

JFF or no one "follows" YSR. YSR which is completely independent also ranks BOTH teams THE SAME WAY/POSITION. It IS just for fun until someone gets bent out of shape and accuses bias towards one club. The point (as hard as it seems to undertsand) it that you imply bias, which is now proven false. Maybe CSA will move up and you can be happy 🤷🏼*♀️ who knows? Enjoy the rankings, the great play in the 2011 group and have a great day.

quite correct - its for a discussion on a soccer message board - that's it - have fun with it, move on-next year we can look at gotsoccer rankings and dicuss as well

Still no explanation why results against common opponents does not matter for CSA and FA but then weekly posts of results against common opponents for all other teams are used to create the rankings. Since you are using YSR to validate JFF, why not have Real as #1 in JFF because YSR ranks Real as the best in NJ.
