I'll take a player with great feet, high level of field awareness that reads the game well and believes in ball distribution as opossed to the manchild that punts the ball at the goalie everytime he gets the ball but that's just me. One day goalies will be massively tall and skilled and those punts will be ineffective.
This guy gets it. As a parent, it is refreshing to see either another parent acknowledge this OR, at the very least, a coach. Some of these teams should learn this because it is called development.

My dear parent, you talk as if the players with strong legs kick the ball far and that’s it... You are a 100 percent correct. What I’m telling you in the most simple way is that we have players in this division that can do all you just have mentioned and more. The strong foot is not the only thing these kids rely on. Once again these convos get out of hand. You are buying into what these parents are saying. A team does something different and all of the sudden everyone has something negative to say.

If a coach is relying on a cheap tactic that will never be sustainable at the highest level of soccer when the kids grow up that's an issue. Shows the coach only cares about the score.

No one ever said anything about solely relying on a shot. Are you dumb ? Point is we need more overall players. You guys high or something? No way you guys keep bringing the topic over and over again. Y’all need to stop this **** and Keep reporting the scores here and that’s it.

Everybody cares about the score and if you say you don't you are lying. These academies are a business if a team went 0-10 you think people would take there kid there even if they were taught "the right way to play" we all know the answer is NO. If winning and losing does not mean anything at u10 why in these EDP tournaments do they post scores and standings and give p
Out awards to the best team. If its not about winning then there should be no scores no standings and everybody gets a trophy!!! Wait teams would not go to there tournament pay the $1,000+ for 4 game if they did not mean anything. Winning teams make more money

What you are failing to see is that the teams who are going to go beyond EDP after next season, don’t put as much emphasis on winning. They try to develop players so they have an entire quality roster by the time 11 v 11 comes and they are competing in the ECNL or mls next. Everyone on this board complains about the teams who will still have their A team competing in EDP; Union, Liverpool etc. with their top players picked up by the upper league teams.

Not bad but I dont think you can put Espanyol in front of Bloomfield given that Bloomfield beat them 7-2.

RCD Espanyol is a skilled and well-trained team. Can't say the same about Bloomfield, although they do play hard. You cannot pass at all on Bloomfield's home field (dirt with clumps of grass), so I'm not surprised RCD had a tough go of it. Maybe that's why Bloomfield plays the way they do (long ball).

So obvious someone from FA is creating the rankings. In the 2010 league that both FA and CSA Bergen play we can see both teams play common opponents to at least compare these two teams. Previously CSA lost to Ironbound 2-3. FA got crushed by Ironbound 1-6. FA was still ranked higher than CSA. This past weekend FA beat Scotch Plains 2-1 but CSA beat Scotch Plains 7-1 the previous weekend. FA also got obliterated by Red Bulls 1-10 but no mention of that in this thread. I wonder why? CSA plays Redbulls this weekend so anything better than a 10-1 loss should move CSA ahead of FA? Probably not.

TY-the rankings take into account the full season as well as current form. It is more than one match-although they are very close, RCD is now is first place with the rematch vs Bloomfield coming up. Also, RCD has an EDP outdoor tournament flight (and another upcoming EDP Memorial Day) win under their belt and Bloomfield has an weaker indoor 3v3 tournament win. That outdoor fight win gives RCD the slight edge for week 7 with the Bloomfield RCD rematch to be played.

again....nothing to do with The FA or any previous groups at Centercourt FC. It is razor tight, but both JFF and YSR currently have The FA a hair above CSA Bergen.

This should help support all the good points made about the ASJ - Liv Central match:

Why bring up Centercourt as that was never mentioned? So no explanation why FA is still ranked higher and results don't matter. You bias is obvious.

This has been obvious from the beginning. FA while has probablly the biggest and fastest kids at this age. is really step behind CSA for the last 3 years, CSA continually beats them head to head. but somehow FA is always ranked higher in here. CSA attempts some ball movement, FA is relentless in kicking ball high and far and having players outmuscle other team.
