I have a question how is ASJE allowed to use that small field? It does not meet EDP minimum standards for 7v7 field. Minimum standards for EDP is 35 yards wide ASJE field was around 26 yards wide. EDP minimum for length is 55 yards there field was about 50 yards. Also on top of that they had a fence around the whole field and the fence was only about 2 feet off the field is that not a safety hazard. A player can fall or be pushed into the fence or fence post with it being so close to the field. EDP has rules and minimum size for there fields for a reason how does ASJE not have to follow the rules? They had a nice grass field that they can use but are they choosing to use this little illegal field because it benefits there style of play.
It was brought up to the ref and ASJE coach before the game they said they always play there and nobody else has ever said anything I find that hard to believe. I would like to know if Morris Elite and Red Bulls Red played on the same field this year?

I was curious so I looked... On google maps if you measure, AS Junior Elite’s field comes out to 27 yards wide by 51 yards long. EDP rules state field should be between 35-45 yards wide and 55-65 yards in length for 7v7 games. It is 4 yards too short in length and 8 yards! short in width to meet the minimum requirements. 2011 AS Junior Elite had 3 league games scheduled and 1 upcoming crossover. The 2012 AS Junior Elite team had/have 4 league games scheduled there. Hope their club looks for an alternative field for next year that meets the league’s minimum requirements. It ideal to play league games in fields that are not up to the standards required.

How are they allowed to use that field? Especially when it was brought up to the attention of the ref and coach before the game? Did you see on Google maps they have a grass field on the other side of the parking lot why not just play there?

The reality is AS exposes teams that rely on kicking and running. If a team needs an extra 10 yards to make sure they can blast the ball down field and pray a player can get through by athleticism and complains about the size of the field they need to find a new coach.
I bet those teams complaining about the field length and width would do absolutely terrible in futsal lol

There isn’t much of kick and run and this division so there may be exposing some other divisions. They have a very good team but you can’t be playing 7v7 on a 5v5 field. And also, this isn’t futsal 😪
