2nd flight in the north... that’s not the 2nd highest flight in NJ. Teams are geographically grouped at this age.

Fully aware of team histories, for all of the teams in NJ, not just the North. Geography IS why those teams were grouped in North Blue and Gray. North Blue are the top teams in NORTH Jersey. North Gray are the 2nd flight of best teams in NORTH Jersey. The 2nd flight in the North is closer to a 3rd flight in overall NJ. Add in the top teams from the South and Central. Most of those teams will be bumped down to a 3rd flight when they are out of EDP Futures and not grouped geographically any more. SJEB from the South would destroy all of those teams in the 2nd flight up North. Real JFC from the south can play with all of those teams as well. Half of the teams from the Central would bump those teams in the 2nd North flight down a flight as well. Red Bulls Grey, Cedar Stars Monmouth, Princeton FC are all up there as well. RCD Espanyol De Barcelona is a very good team, but after them, the other teams in North Gray won’t be in either of the TOP 2 flights for EDP league play in the fall.

Teams will be bracketed based off of GEOGRAPHY, competitiveness, and by like-minded clubs. “

Serious question - what happened to torpedoes? They had a very bad record in the a flight in fall and not so great in the b flight. Did they lose players or just bad luck. Club has a good rep so I figured they would be doing better

What ever helps you sleep at night buddy. Everyone knows the 2nd NORTH flight does not equal the 2nd best flight in all of NJ. Those teams don’t even finish top of SOUTH Jersey and they don’t finish top 3 in CENTRAL Jersey. But you are right. 😂

They shouldn’t have been up in the top flight in the fall. They are a top half of 3rd flight/ bottom half of 2nd flight level team. Which isn’t bad at all. Some coaches get their teams flighted too high because they are unrealistic of the teams level. Some teams flight their teams too low because they want to brag about being undefeated and winning games without a challenge.

Wow I guess Red Bull’s don’t believe in playing possession when the score is 7-1. Gotta feel bad for the ME kids this season. They didn’t pick the flight. The coach should have said something to EDP when flights came out.

Not fair for both teams, only 8 games per season...they should at least be competitive.

Morris Elite finished 2nd behind Bloomfield Barcelona in North Navy during the fall. They should have bumped up to North Gray. Bumping up 2 flights was not the right move. Bloomfield only went up 1 flight, not sure why Morris jumped up 2, have to imagine they pushed for it. The schedule the rest of the spring doesn’t get any easier for Morris Elite with CSA Bergen, Football Academy and PDA coming up.

I wonder if this was a parent driven move where the parents pushed to stay in the flight when it came out. I know EDP put them there officially but coaches have a chance to request a change. I guess this is a perfect example of believing your own IG posts to the point where now your kids are miserable for 3 months.

The 2010 Morris Elite team is also in the top flight for u11 without a win.
