If a kid is any good eventually they are going to have to play for a coach who takes courses and advances their education. Teaching positions and tactics can be taught at any age. Kids 9-11 should have the ball at their feet constantly and play freely without the fear of getting taken out because they didnt make a pass. That is what development years are for. Teams that stress passing and tactics to win are going to win more now but the kids are going to suffer later.

At least at pay-to-play clubs you can find a club that requires coaches to get education. Hey I bet all the parents and coaches watch La Liga and EPL every weekend so they all know how to develop kids as players right?

When it comes to academy time in a few years he will be left behind because he won't have a clue what his role is supposed to be in the field and dribbling like a headless chicken will land him a spot on the bench or his way to get cut. 😉

Union does a great job teaching the kids positioning, passing, finding open spaces and playing as a team. None of the kids dribbles with their head down, trying to get to the goal just to be the team superstar.. you gotta give them credit for playing 5-7 days a week and participating in tons of tournaments, leagues, etc. The coaches volunteer their time and the program is super affordable.. the only problem I see is when they fall behind on goals and start losing. Then all this beautiful team playing turns into ugly physical battles, cursing and complete lack of sportsmanship because these kids and especially their parents are not used to losing.. if they can resolve that problem, they will go far, if not, it will be a big issue down the line..

Solid wins for CSA Green. Irony here as their last group match vs SJEB Red could also be the flight final matchup as well. Will all the changes and player movement happening at CSA affect this group as well? In the other flight The FA Gold is blasting through the flight winning 12-4 and 7-0. Id this a case where the are using the black team players to play in a low flight?
