Ill give fa credit, they at least played in the top bracket. But they are not as good as their parents believe, the quality of actual game play is not top level. They got beat by a team with superior players, yes select 2011 players from the region who all play up on 2010 teams. So these kids push themselves to become better by playing outside of their comfort zones, while FA plays there "top level" players in the 2011 bracket so they could win, keep their parents happy, and promote development. And yes the select team is Bs, but its the level that fa should attempt to get their kids to rather than walking around thinking their boys are the best ever.

Yes Union Stars will do well in Supercopa, and yes they will destory Union, Cedar stars bergen, or any other NJ outfit who likes to parade their team around like they are special.

liverpool is a disgrace hiding out in the third tier of the Jeff cup, again there is no gain in playing inferior opponents. They are not as good as their parents who post on this forum think.

Not many teams in the country would fare well vs that Union Stars team, no shame in losing them. FA definitely has some entitlement issues to work around though. They must have a hell of a sales pitch though. They sound like they are getting a lot of good players at younger level. It will be interesting to see who fares better FA or Morris Elite since they are in the same town. FA looks to be winning the early race. Morris elite has to rid themselves of the money grab stigma.

Let’s see how some of these new teams do in a 2011 league where they can’t hide. A lot of those teams in the top tier have kids who only play soccer all year round; FA, Red Bull, PDA, CSA those kids don’t play hockey, basketball, lax. Say what you want about union they play every weekend all year.

Union Selecao lost to FA 4-1 and tied the RB Red in the fall, they beat PDA, STA, Torpedoes, Ironbound. Please tell me when they were destroyed?

Does anyone really give a crap? Still playing 7v7 at this age which is just about kids who are far more developed at 8 and 9 then their peers. Revisit these teams at the start of 11v11 and they will be drastically different. Then the best ot all of them will end up at the best MLS/DA clubs except for maybe vistula and ironbound.

So many teams win at this age by putting 3 kids on the build out line and unleashing them on the opponents....same things happens at 9v9 except the line is the 18(14) box. The real fun begins on the full size since field is too big for 12/13 year olds especially on the girls side. Watch how the high press disappears starting about that age and when it doesn’t you get the 05 PDA/Barca example of what a good team does to the high press.

Whats sad is that many actually consider these games fun to watch. There hasn't been one game that I have stayed awake past the 5 minute mark. Kudos to the parents that fall for the pay to play model as that is something that is brutal on the wallet and the time commitment is out of control. And let me not start about the politics surrounding who plays and who sits the bench.

Whats sad is that many actually consider these games fun to watch. There hasn't been one game that I have stayed awake past the 5 minute mark. Kudos to the parents that fall for the pay to play model as that is something that is brutal on the wallet and the time commitment is out of control. And let me not start about the politics surrounding who plays and who sits the bench.

Pay to play equates to touches for most club programs. My kid was on a mid level team and the number of games/practices was half of what it is currently (top level EDP). For us, it was worth the money for that alone. Add on the fact that the coaching now seems better as well, playing from the back and teaching more sound technique.

LIVERPOOL HIDES!!! You sound so stupid the fall 2019 they played in the middle flight in Central Jersey (1st season as a team) then they request to be moved to the hardest flight in the state there second season as a team (fall 2020). Which they had a winning record! Every tournament they have entered before Jeff Cup they have played in the top flight. Maybe at Jeff Cup they could have played the second flight but let's not forget they lost in the finals. But to say they dodge teams is stupid like I said they requested to be put in the hardes flight in the state in just there second season as a team. Is there any other team who did that they have won 2 edp tournaments and 1 second in the top flight. But there first time going to a national tournament and going into the 3rd flight makes them a team dodge good teams!! You can never say any team in the top flight in the state is dodging teams

First time Liverpool goes out of state for a competition. And shout out to FA. Those boys played well and represented NJ with all they had @ Jeff cup. Appreciate their work and talent as well as every single boy and GIRL who played there in the 2011 age group.

1) You have never seen Union play or 2) You are a frustrated parent and cannot comprehend why a group of 2011/2012s kept the ball away from your son's team for 60 minutes and did whatever they wanted in the field and your large athletic players were completed cancelled out by the idea of ball movement and soccer IQ 🤣

Ha, spoken like a true Union parent. Union feeds the ego of parents like you more than helps the kids. I bet you think playing every weekend 2 games and playing up is great for your kid. You must think playing in a low bracket a year up is that same as playing in the top bracket of your own age. I highly doubt the coach has anything more than an F license because he goes against anything they teach in any coaching course. He almost gets kicked out of every game and the kids curse on the field worse than Joe Pesci in Goodfellas...But hey you win games right, that’s all that matters at U10.

I just hope all of these Dads don’t hold it against their kids when 12 years from now these kids are all playing in the GSSL and not the Premier League. Just enjoy watching your kids. If they have the drive and the talent to work and take it further then enjoy that ride. As long as they are not Playing for Match Fit Shore they will be fine.
