Liverpool played Red Bull (red) at 11am had 4-1 lead at halftime ended up tying. 5-5. They ref gave them a penalty shot to tie the game with no time left on the clock. When the ball hit the back of the net he blew the whistle to end the game. Very hard tie for Liverpool!! The STA was scheduled to start at 3:00 did not start till almost 3:30. It was a very long time for Liverpool to just sit around the field waiting yes they eat lunch but still over 3 hrs just sitting around after what just happened in the Red Bulls game. The second the STA game started you could tell Liverpool was not themselves. They had some little moments of being themselves but 95% of the game they were not. We have never seen them play like that before. But even with that said the score was 5-5 late into the game. (No excuse) the ball went out of bounce all Liverpool stopped playing STA scored but there was never a whistle. Liverpool player got hurt they all stopped playing again STA scored no whistle again. What is the number one rule play the whistle!!!(STA DID) Not taking anything away from STA they played good moved the ball well played physical played hard. But I have a feeling under different circumstances the outcome might be a little different. But in the big picture Saturday was a great learning experience for these 9 yr old boys. Red Bull lesson game is not over till the final whistle no matter what the score is. STA always play the whistle no matter what, anyone can beat you on any day.
The staff at JFF is working overtime on certifying the 2011 Boys results.
We believe this will lead to a smooth transition of power/flighting going into Spring 2021.
With the being said, JFF would like to recognize the "Moneyball" clubs and teams that showed that you do not always need a big or elite soccer club to be able to be competetive and have fun. This is not a ranking, more like a list of 2011 boys standout performaces.

Love all the excuses, yet no one mentions how red bulls were coming off a 2 week quarantine. Should the red bulls parents say lesson learned, "we should not quarantine for 2 weeks, we looked rusty against liverpool". Its youth soccer, stop ruining your kids experiences so you could stoke your ego on how good your kids team is or isnt.
No need to bash 9 year old kids or teams. The fact is that all these teams have some really good players, have their own philosophies, and are all fantastic. They are also helping each other get better due to the fact that these games, regardless of score are competitive. As parents you should appreciate the fact that your kids play in such a competitive environment, it will only benefit your kids in the long run. But if your going to sit their and bash these other teams to but your own team on a pedestal or to massage your ego, you are the problem. It a marathon, not a sprint, enjoy it.

The two week quarantine is a killer for any team and athletes. Let's hope we can have indoor soccer for the kids or we will see them regress for the spring.

Does EDP re-flight each season? I was wondering if they did the same league swapping the home/away games in the spring -or- if they reflight?

The coaches avoid competition in most cases. RCD Espaniol celebrating an undefeated season in Facebook for u10 probably the lowest bracket there is ol Morris Elite the same thing, I don't see many teams trying to get on the top flight. STA has no choice because of their brand and the fact they have 3 2011 teams. I am sure Torpedos,Ironbound and Liverpool will vacate the top flight in the spring.

Torpedoes and Ironbound shouldn’t have a choice. Both teams should definitely go down to the B flight.
But why would Liverpool drop? They’re in the middle of the A flight table. They should definitely stay up.
Hopefully EDP lets CSA Bergen and TFA have two teams each in the A flight.
