Can someone please describe ‘attractive’ u10 boys soccer?
I know enough to mess my son up at this point, possession
And ball movement?

Watch their videos on YouTube and you will see how they play. They play out the back every single time and they move the ball very well, great transitions and overlaps under extreme pressure. They are going to make mistakes because they are 8 and 9 yr olds lol but these boys will be complete soccer players when size and athleticism evens out. They don't blast thr ball under the ball pressure either and do not rely on scoring on free kicks. It seems that most teams blast the ball to the fowards to see if they can get it.They are undefeated in the 2010 division currently but the teams are obviously not the top of that age group. AS Junior had a great game vs FA silver I am interested to see how they donvs Bergen Ii.

when you watch a team and the players know the difference of when to pass or dribble. Soccer IQ, is attractive.

There was an email announcement about it before the spring 2020 season would've started.

There's probably something about it on EDP's web site too.

The reason is that the EDP people wanted to de-emphasize scores and standings at the U9 and U10 age groups.

Yeah I don't know about that... there are teams missing so the placement means nothing. When you sign up for a tournament they ask your team's level and you can choose what bracket you want to be in, weeks before they show you a preliminary seeding as well. Union is competing in the lower u11 bracket so placement in these tournaments is managed directly by the coach for the most part.

Case in point: Real Jersey is top flight at the EDP Cup, despite a 1 win and 1 loss record and no previous team history. That shouldn’t happen...but 2011s don’t have an official points ranking. Perhaps PDA Hibernian Howard would have been a better choice. The lack of out of state teams this year also contributed to head scratching flight placement. Some clubs purposely flight their teams lower to increase the chance of winning and getting the valuable social media “tournament winners” post.

Exactly 🤭 an easy win a lower bracket gets them another few kids they can charge 3k+ for one of their many 2011 teams. Without scores being published Their D team can still recruit hard lol
