You factored a loss to Bergen in the ranking for Monmouth. You should update your model and recalibrate - CSA Monmouth is a top 5 team.

Nice weekend clashes in NJ Cenral Blue:
CSA Monmouth (9) vs Valencia (8)
Match Fit (10) vs NYRB Grey (6)
All 2-0 teams sqauring off!!
We will see how this impacts the JFF rankings.

4 players

Match Fit (10) should'nt be any match for NYRB Grey (6).

With only 6 field players per team and a wider range between the stronger kids and weaker kids, a small # of very good players can definitely make a big difference on a team or in a game.

Playing from the back
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostReally ? How does this solid center back you are describing get the ball to the winger? There's something called a transition There's no way in hell one defender is stopping every attack alone at the elite level. Also, besides stopping the attack the center back needs a solid midfield that can move the ball to the attack. You can have the fastesr winger in the state but if the team doesn't know how to move the ball the winger will be useless. Although I have yet to see a team that actually moves the ball out the back. All they do is blast it and pray that someo e scores.

Elite teams at this level have progressed to one touch passes and are able to switch fields and not force the ball through when there is no path forward. The majority if not all of the these 2011 ranked teams excell at playing out of the back and ball movement.

Sir, by rule for a number years now, there is a build out line-a keeper MUST play the ball out of the back to a player, which will (usually) trigger a high press from a forward. Playing out of the back is now part of the match rules. The high level teams all play out of the back to different degrees of success - like any pro team. The half back or center backs act as a transitional midfielder - that is the point. I just don't see these top 2011 teams blasting the ball forward, which is a refection of good coaching at the early ages.
