Same here. Sent a email, no response. I also know of 2 other kids who have the same issue. As of this morning, neither one of them have heard back.

So basically, the ODP which pushes the fact that the program doesn't interfere with your normal team is asking everyone to blow off their normal team to attend a tryout for a program that practices once a month and costs $1500? Good luck with alienating some talented kids who have obligations with their current teams. I would love it if you accept players and THEY can't attend your games because of obligations to their team. What goes around comes around....

Wait, are you serious? $1500 for once a month practice and they can't accommodate players who have team obligations? Screw this. I guess were blowing off tryouts....

Not sure what everyone is so pissy about.....D plays for ECNL team and her time presses into her 1st game at tournament. Talked to coach and although he wasn't happy about losing one of his better players for a game he understood that ODP is an opportunity for her and him and the club. It's a pre-season tournament and doesn't count toward anything.

It isn't like your missing a league game or play-off/championship game. This is a pre-season tournament during the black out period for college. Most of these (Spirit Cup and EDP) have far weaker teams in upper brackets than last year due to covid. Last year we played teams from up and down the coast at Spirit Cup....This year it's only PA and NJ teams most of which played a div or 2 below us last year.

There are several dozen players who got rejection emails who would gladly miss one of these tournament games to have made it to round 2.

I sent an email to ODP and told them that my daughter's team is in the PDA tournament and the tryout time directly conflicts with both of her games on Saturday and that we will skip the 2 preseason tournament games and attend the tryout because we are serious about the investment in ODP and have respect for the program.
