Disposable income will be way down for many people, as well as lots of new perspectives as to is youth soccer really a worthwhile $10k per year investment? Not to mention many may balk at flying and driving through different states, I think this was already happening - questioning whether all the travel was worth it - corona crisis will further make people question everything about youth soccer.

But the great thing about soccer is that is can be played very cheaply. Hopefully, that will serve many players well going forward.

DA went to war with ECNL and lost.
Let the DA parents rot...players will suffer for this.
To the victors go the spoils.
If the USSF has to offer the same terms to boys and girls, then GDA has to be done. Fact is, the GDA cannot deliver on its stated goals of player development because unfortunately that is not how parents look at it and there is no other entity who will pay. NWSL has what, 9 teams? No way they are equipped to pay for a developmental league and training for youth players.
Those who look at this as two entities doing the same thing are wrong. Basically this boils down to the USSF being unable to change parents minds about player development.

The reality is that although these teams still exist, there are not many out there. So beginning research now might be prudent

Some giving heads up about purchasing new uniforms. Most have not decide the route they’ll be taking. GDA may not be in the picture next season. Who knows

Everyone calm down.... biggest fake news ever
Its almost sad that the USSDA allowed this to go on as long as they did, and to that I am referring to the rumors and conjecture of its demise.
Rest assured everyone, the USSDA on both the girls and boys side is not going away. An announcement will be out tomorrow that the season is shuttered, but the DA will continue to go on as per normal.
Imagine all the fake news that has come out on this topic, all the mud slinging, all the chatter about everything.
All for nothing, FAKE NEWS.
USSDA goes on.

Maybe USSoccer has the guys (all of them including MLS affiliates) pay for their DA expenses like the girls.
Keep both leagues and have them compete against each other. It is always good to have competition.
And/or bring back competitive ODP.
