At most one national finals event if you made it. Costs were bad enough already without adding multiple 5 day showcase trips in Florida, Colorado, San Diego, etc.

Oh and she trains with these girls at said clubs all winter long and plays supplemental with them. So yes let’s just play in our bubble and play no new teams and experience zero in the way of new competition. Jesus Christ. Don’t play ECNL if you don’t want to. Don’t play DA if you don’t want to. Don’t play soccer if you don’t want to. Don’t travel if you don’t want to. The whining over soccer is a goddam microcosm of America. Waaah waaah waaah....sniffle sniffle. Full on wussification of society personified right here on display.

We can save money and not be paying for coaches all expense vacations to Europe or all over the damned country. And with lower costs you will get better competition at the player level as poorer kids with talent won’t be excluded as badly as they are now.

Reality is most players go to colleges that are within four hours of their homes - no need to fly all over the country for soccer tournaments. Stick to the drivable ones on the east coast - plenty of good tournaments and good competition. My kid will not be going back to her ECNL team. I have a whole new perspective- silver lining to being shut in.

It would be great if gda kids would try out for ecnl teams but not sure. some yes. Some no. Ecnl was not popular with these players ir they would not have left their ecnl teams in the first place.

DA players put their noses up to ECNL. High schools were snubbed too.
ECNL and high school have no reason they have to and must take on these kids and their entitled parents.
Screw em.
