there is no genius coach that can fix the situation at match fit as the problems are fundamental:

- 2 practices a week compared to 3 practices for other clubs
- bloated squads with scrimmage based practices
- disengaged coaches who earn a fixed fee per season
- high turnover and lack of any loyalty among players AND coaches other than the 2 yoyos.

OK. So my two questions are why do parents foolishly sign up for this club and why doesn't a governing body remove the leaders?

ECNL is structured so there is NO governing body. It also benefits PDA and WC because it makes them look somewhat competent.

Just as folks believe the NJ ODP is a great program because a bunch of National Team players graduated from it, other folks believe that MF is a great program because in the past they sent a couple of kids to elite D1 schools. It’s known as marketing. People look at a current graduating class and see wow, 2 out of 46 players went to a great school on a good scholarship, so my kid definitely has a chance.
