Still there because my kid starts, plays the whole game, is a team captain. Who cares if the coaching is terrible, the team is bad. So long as I get mine right...? Sound familiar?

Not really..because get mine to some people is get to College with some $$ and play meaningful minutes. None of what you describe gets you there.

I cant remember who was captain, played the most minutes etc on my middle kids club team. I do know that now, very few of them are doing much in College. None of the stuff you see to be valuing actually matters much if you have higher goals

I never held myself out as a MF parent. I have repeatedly said im not. What minimum standards? Did MF fail all the top level kids they have helped produce? of course not. Maybe the way they do things is not for you. Thats cool, but why do you pretend they have not worked for many players who have gone on to play at the highest levels?

This whole thread smacks of parents of average kids who have not gotten better in the MF system. Why do you assume they would have elsewhere? If its not for you, leave.

You must be the owner then. Top level kids and MF don't belong in the same sentence, and that isn't the kids' fault. If you think scrimmaging as the primary source of training is not failing the kids then you aren't paying attention.

You can count the "top level" kids on one hand that were there long enough to be "developed". And with team training for only 3 hours a week it is hard to believe MF played any role in improving those kids.

you talk out of you rear end. Im not the owner and im not connected to them in any way. Im also not stupid enough to think that its better elsewhere. Its the same everywhere. Every kid and family needs to make the best of whatever situation they are in and that starts with the kid. Clubs are all pretty similar and trying to pretend oen is better than the other because more parents got snowed into going there is nonsense.

MF has faults, but so do the rest. the entire SYSTEM has faults

Really? Ashley, Cook , Kerner, Blackwood, Demarco, Jennings x2 off the top of my head. PDA has not done better over the same period. DO you think those player would have stayed if they were getting nothing from it ?

Not going to comment on individual kids. People can see how long some were at MF. Also I never said they didn't get anything. Also I don't think comparing MF to PDA is a winning position.

Sorry, but comparing the top end players produced in the last 5 years absolutely is. It underlines the point that its PLAYERS that make Clubs. Clubs recruit to win. NONE develop to win. They know its futile. So is PDA better because they have a better brand ? If Jane decides to leave Penn Fusion at 16 to go to PDA and they win, is that development? Every Club does it. The only reason you penalize MF is because you dont like them. I get it.

I dont care about commits. Numbers reflect volume. Which Club is bigger. The conversation started on top end talent, not commits. Also, lets see how these commits actually do in College. With respect, every Club can produce commits.
