I dont understand what all the commotion is about. 2011 Essex team is the old 2011 Ironbound team. Check their social media accounts…all 4 are there with their Ironbound kits. There hasn’t been any ECNL players brought down to play with them. Those 4 that you keep mentioning have been asked to play up with the ECNL team. WRONG! 2 of the 4 joined MFA Morris at the end of the spring before Essex even existed. Then Essex was formed and the rest of the team moved over to Essex months later. But the reason they got spanked was that the cup finals were at the same time as a MFA ECNL game and the girl that had almost all of Esssx’s goals, even though she was never really part of the team, had to play for her main team and Essex has zero offense.

I agree. And that’s why I don’t understand why everyone making a big deal. 2 of those 4 may have joined ECNL team in prior spring but all have always played together in the same Ironbound team. That One player would not have made a difference in yesterday’s match.

With or without the so called 4 Essex girls, the talent level at iron bound/essex is not great. The rankings app showing historical score lines are not impressive and the results of the state cup were absolutely dismal. One additional player wouldn’t have made a difference, NJP was simply a much higher level team. This bs on TS was all MFA hype for the sake of selling the ECNL pathway and trying to create a false narrative to drive up interest at the clubs new Essex location. Watch the level of play on the field, that tells you all you need to know.

Believe the 2014 team was the entire first team, they are not in ECNL yet so don’t think there was any controversy there. From what I’ve heard the 2011 Essex team was the team bending the rules to try to win a state cup but ended up getting beaten pretty badly by NJP in the final. From what I’ve gathered, the Essex players were put on the ECNL roster to fill roster spots of 3 girls who left for PDA right before the start of the season. Also just heard the 2011 ECNL team just lost another player mid season so wouldn’t be surprised to see more branch players added to try to fill the gaps.
