Not the U13 boys team both ECNL and Rl team didn’t make it . You wanna know why it start with the poor leadership and guidance from their coach !

You are the dumb ass you can easily look on the ECNL page and see what teams made the playoffs! I don’t see any 2010 teams from MFA but I see the 09,08 , 06 who’s the dumb ass now !

I see two sides to this story. I have heard many things regarding coach Wilson and nothing is ever done. He has asked my son to play bc he needs a WIN! and he is ok with his team sitting on the bench. 1- its a business to him and he needs to win or he may lose his job and they can lose their badge BUT WE pay them to help and develop our kids. I try not to feed into the drama but I really don't know how it feels bc my son does well at MFA. But who knows who will show up next week or next year. I feel like all clubs at this level have the same issues. Kinda lame.

While soccer clubs and coaches are paid to develop players I think parents oftentimes have a major disconnect as to what “develop my child” ultimately means and how that responsibility fits into a club’s overall business growth/ advancement objectives.

No club or coach can make a Messi or Pele out of every single aspiring child. Development of players is not an art painting whereby an artist can be handed a clean canvas and will be expected deliver a masterpiece at the end. Your child must have certain attributes, out of which I consider “Hardworking” and “Teachable” to be key elements, in order for a club to successfully develop. Absent of these two critical qualities your child simply is not ready for development no matter what club you try. And even with these qualities above, you still have to supplement whatever club training are offered with external training to get your child as much extra touches as possible.

No club in the world has a perfect record of developing every single player that ever registered with them. And every club at some point will replace existing players with better talented new players! It’s just the way of the game. At the end of the day, clubs are graded based on their success record on the pitch and this success is largely driven by the quality of players (talent) they are able to attract or retain. The club with the most talented players will often then not win. The winning clubs will generally attract the best available players.

Rather than getting pissed off at a club for leveling up with parents over the realistic prospect of a child based on current performance, parents should take feedback in stride and have their child put in more work if truly he or she wants to pursue a future in the sport. Not good enough today doesn’t mean “Never going to be good enough”. Each disappointment or failure should be embraced as an opportunity to improve and prove naysayers wrong. Don’t Give Up… Don’t Hate on the Club or Coach… Get back to the drawing board and work harder to be BETTER. Come back stronger.

To the parents on here speak up and leave your name like my Man Mark did , don’t hide by being anonymous thread because all MFA cares about is your money and not developing your child.

They want give you the time and energy to discuss anything in person they are pathetic.

Well said, the only players at MFA are those who cannot make PDA. Also the coaches at MFA are very unprofessional and abusive towards their players because they know they have nowhere else to go.
