I am the original poster. Like I said before the email and cry for help is embarrassing and a poor look for MF. My kid at another ECNL club. However in purely summarizing these lists I still see the following schools in the last few years: Boston College, Georgetown, Syracuse, VA Tech, Pitt ....... these are all ACC schools. Also a high number of excellent academic schools. I would say their lists over the last few years is good. I would hazard a guess that it is much better than STAs list and not as good as PDAs. I see something about 60 players at U16. They have three teams like many clubs. Those kids are Sophomores so can't commit until June at the earliest, so not sure of the point there, other than a disgruntled and bitter parent wanting to push a point. Now if they could only get rid of the generators .........

That's the whole problem with your post, the glory years are in the past. You keep bringing the 2015 as a reference year and want everyone to fall in love with MF. Get over it. The scrimmage-coaching is mediocre and the college recruiting effort from JR + DB is pathetic. The best team is a NL team. There is no place to hide. No way to twist the facts.

When 60+ kids start the path at U15 with a hope to get to college, and by the time they become seniors, just 5 are committed to decent schools, and 10 committed to iffy schools because parents forced them.

As of 2020 the stats you should look at are "60% of kids that are at MF at U15 quit soccer before they get to college".

Wow you really are a jerk. I am just making an impartial point as the original poster. I have not referenced 2015 once. I actually quickly checked the 2020 and 2019 lists on my phone and quoted the colleges from there. So BC, GT, Syracuse, Pitt, VA Tech are all schools listed from players who have graduated in the last two years. That is a decent number of ACC schools. Like I said previously I have no skin in the game here as my daughter is at another ECNL club. I am not living in any year just checking the lists that you put on here. Seems you are very opinionated and arrogant. My point here is more ECNL vs DA in terms of recruiting, and if MF is so bad then these lists prove the ECNL is thriving if they are a bottom feeder. A bottom feeder with 8 ACC recruits in two years isn't bad. No idea what you mean in terms of NL teams. You obviously haven't seen their 03 team (my daughter is 03). They are good.

For someone who "has no skin in the game" and "(my daughter is 03). They are good" . You seem to have a lot of positive MF feedback, so I believe your daughter is on that 2003 team and is probably committed to some great ACC college. Good luck with the season.

My daughter used to be on 2002 and we used to have a lot of "fresh import players" from 2003 play up to prop up our team in the last 2 years. It was also probably a reason why a lot of the 2002 team got disillusioned by MF and pushed down to NPL.

So, when I look at the "MF alumni list" I know exactly who are the "outside players" to join MF. About 1/3 of the 2019 alumni class joined around U17 from other NJ teams (especially ACC college commits you quoted). I honestly dont know how many 2003 players were developed at MF or when they joined. But I would be surprised if the ones that are committed are with the team for more than 2-3 years. Too late for me to care.

A bottom feeder with 8 ACC recruits out of 120+ (and probably 4 of the ACC recuits joining in the last 2 years) also means that 112 home grown players didn't go anywhere. Where you see 5% full, many should see as 95% empty. Dont play lottery with your kid's life.

Negative. I have an 03 daughter at PDA. She knows a bunch of the 03 kids. No idea how many of their 03s are committed, or how long the ACC commits have been there. You clearly are a little bitter about your experience there and that may be understandable. I am just making a statement that the lists are good. I doubt any clubs 2nd and 3rd team players are making big time commits, so that comparison is just part of your agenda. I get it if you were wronged over there but my simple statement is that for a bottom feeder club they still get good college commits compared to other clubs. You may need to take a breath or two!

ACC commits? The schools listed are mid to bottom ACC schools soccerwise. They would not finish any higher in any of the better conferences, so the ACC part is clearly being used as some sort of marketing tag by association.

Your right. All very good schools for a few girls for the past 2-3 years. You add those players plus the amount of teams and age groups per. You are looking at well over 120+ girls. Which adds up to under 20% of that group going to top schools. Nothing wrong with the others schools academically. So why would you pay for terrible training and facilities for low D1,D2 or D3. If your child is a great players then their are alternatives. If she is a decent player the same. Why pay all that money for a poor product and service

Good you are happy at PDA but these parents' complaints aren't just bitter complaining and unless you KNOW MF you should just speak to your club.

                  MFA Girls -

                  How are you?

I write this email to you, after a long, hard, two weeks. The last two weeks have been hard on both Dominick and myself from a soccer standpoint and a personal one.

This time of year with tryouts, a bruising schedule and all of the nonesense of youth soccer is really hard on all of us, players, parents and coaches. Over the last 5 years we have worked hard to build a process where all of our players have a place they can succeed in. With that said, I want to take this time to remind everyone of our process and what is expected of all of our players.

We were clear in our outline at the meetings back in the late summer/early fall that players are going to move between rosters throughout the year. We were clear to all that attended the meetings that we would add players that became available if we felt they made our team (s) better. And we were clear in the meetings and communication that we would not discuss rosters, playing time or our decisions with parents via email, text or on the phone.

As for next year, after our tryouts in May, we will let you know if we are inviting you back next year and on what team. That way you will have time to make a clear, educated decision on whether you want to be in this club or not.

                  Thank you

                  Dominick & Jordan

You are obviously very angry your 02 daughter didn’t cut it there. No clue what you are referencing in terms of 120 kids. MF has two teams at 17 and 18. So that is 40 kids and again what club sends their 2nd team players to top schools. You are obviously bitter and taken a post about a list you posted to push your own agenda. Let it go bro you look really sad bashing a former club.

Clearly one or two former 02 parents who are angry with DB and JR. Very obvious and very sad. Are you the same parent who went to a club, got offered by your coach and then they recommitted to you? Hope you are happy there.

Written by a non-MF parent or you would know team assignments/rosters are communicated in August when its too late to make any educated decisions.

the VIX is more stable than a roster spot at MF

that part of the email where they say they will add players during the season and move players between rosters, how can you ever make an "educated decision" if your daughter can be replaced at any point during the season

the way they communicate to parents is insulting.

                              MF has 3 teams at U15 - 60+
                              MF has 3 teams at U14 - 60+

                              MF has 2 teams at U17 and 18 - 40+ kids.

SO YOU JUST WENT FROM 120 TO 40. OUT OF 40 KIDS 8 COMMITTED TO ACC SCHOOLS.

The rest of the kids quit. Pathway to what? 7% success. 13% forced to play against will. 80% quit.
