Does anyone know the rules (if there are any) for trying out or attending an ID Clinic for a player who currently plays for an ECNL or ECRL team but is looking to make a change?

If the tryout or ID clinic is for another ECNL/RL team and it's before May 1, you wouldn't be allowed to go unless your current club gives you permission. If the ID clinic is not for another ECNL/RL team then you should be fine to attend another tryout or ID clinic at any time.

Someone told me that GA is equal to ECRL. My daughter is in ECRL and the competition is pretty average to poor. GA has to be better than RL right????

Ecrl is a collection of b teams. A few exceptions but generally b teams

Every league has **** teams, including the ECNL. Go look at the rankings app of WC, MFA and pda and check scores. There are some terrible teams in most conferences. The reality is all these leagues are marketing ploys but mls and ecnl does it best and has the most investment at the moment. It will change in a few more years like it always does. ECNL, Ga, DA, MLS, NAL, ecrl, elite 64, NPL, Acela, edp, NL,and yes they all have good players that could play in other leagues but location, friends, $, etc impact decisions. Find a good coach and a good team and develop. Going to an ECNL or mls team could be the biggest mistake you make for your development if it’s not the right fit or coach

RL teams could not compete with the top 2/3’s of the GA teams. That’s why the RL exists. Competitive levels for all abilities.

Not true...as someone who has seen both, i'd say 1/3 of GA tops is better than ECRL.

Especially once the growth evens out. 2013 ga would smoke them all growth equal.

Great business move but agree it is what it is. Glorified edp with better marketing and more investment
