    Girls Academy Regional Showcase

So 2011 NJ Premier are able to compete in the showcase but they are not in GA? How does that work?

    #2
Pretty much exactly what you said - they are not in GA but able to compete in events. Other clubs have the same "event status".

The 2012 and 2013 groups apparently didn’t get the event status.

From what I understand NJ Premier is on the verge of getting into GA they just have a few house keeping things to handle before formal acceptance.

event status is at a club level. The younger teams just chose not to go (read into that what you want)

they finished 2-1. Lost 4-3 to a team that finished 3-0 on their group. It looks like they were in group 6 of 14

from the ranking app, they beat the #6 team in FL 2-1 (all of FL, not just GA), the #24 team in NC 3-1 and lost to the #3 team in MO 4-3. Seems like they did well

everything is conjecture. But if GA expands, then I can see NJP getting a spot and them putting in a division with all of the NJ teams. Northeast and Mid-Atlantic each have 14 teams. Northeast plays everyone 2X for 26 games and the Mid Atlantic plays everyone 1X and then plays a few 2X for only 19 games. So it looks like Northeast is a full division and the mid atlantic has some kind of sub divisions (where the NJ, PA & DE teams play each other 2X). My guess is they are trying out the 2 situations. 2 big divisions with each having 2 sub divisions, or 3 divisions

When a team does well in the NAL (aka GA2) They can compete in a "reginal showcase" This is the way it should be, teams that do very well should get promoted. Otherwise when U14/U15 comes everyone is looking to jump shop into teams that have the ECNL or GA badge.

yea, and NJP has a problem with players leaving for PDA Blue or White (just 10 minutes down the road). You would think that GA would admit NJP just to annoy PDA

100% would be great. The facilities are great and the coaches develop players at NJP - esp younger ages. If they could just keep their developed talent in house versus leaving they would become very competitive. NJP would also have a lot of talent come in on top of what they develop.

I think GA should admit them. They develop the players well, but jump ship because scouting doesn't happy at NAL, or EDP.
