Which league is better. USYS premier 1 or ECRL North Atlantic. Honest question. Contemplating on what team to put my daughter on next year.

From what I have seen USYS Premier 1 is the better option. The extra travel of the ECRL is not worth the drives, there is not any more exposure in ECRL like they pretend to have.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

2012 girls… she is outgrowing her current team so looking for a change next year. Ocean, wall and freehold all play in prem 1 USYS. Or looking at one of the three pda ECRL teams. My daughter is most likely not ECNL level or border line so looking at ECRL or USYS instead since it’s a slight step up and and I know she will play more. Not sure if she wants to consider college soccer at this time.Comment

my one daughters USYS team games are further away on average than my other daughters ECRL NE games for what its worth. The NA RL has games further away. On balance, the competition is pretty much the same in both. Both much better and much worse teams in the RL. More consistent in USYS.Originally posted by Guest View Post

USYS NL at 13-15u is a good option presuming the team/coach atmosphere is engaging and positive. NL struggles after that because of the fall off with teams since players chase the GA/NAL and ECNL/RL. USYS has done nothing to improve the NL environment. On paper it makes sense since it’s Team based with relegation and promotion unlike the other leagues. Just doesn’t resonate though with the masses.Comment

I have looked into ECRL NE and the whole division is just so weak!! I am better off staying where I am than going to MFA shore, Mercer, NLSA or PSA monmouth. Mercer seems to have their squad… good team from what I can tell but not much room to join in and play. MFA shore has terrible reviews. I rather not even waste my time there. as with any club v club league, the top 3 or 4 are good, and the bottom 4 or 5 are bad. So even if you think the top 2 or 3 teams in ECRL are better than the top USYS teams, you will have to live with having 4 or 5 blowout games as far as 3 hours away. That is why we picked USYSComment

it really depends on the age group in ECRL. Some are better than others. There are probably 5-6 very good teams in my daughters age group, 4-5 that are god-awful and 4-5 that are just not good, but are trying.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment
