As we all know, according to fifa law 13 section 3, “… an opponent who deliberately prevents a free kick being taken quickly MUST be cautioned for delaying the restart of play”.
So many games I see someone run up to the ball and stand directly in front of it. It is just poor sportsmanship taught by bad coaches. I understand kids are taught to do this at a young age, but at some point the rules have to be enforced, right? I would think at U11 and U12 you should just tell them not to do it, but I think cards should come out at U13 or U14
I guess some people don’t really care about the rules, but they are there for a reason.
